Macca65
I have not bought the game, and currently breathing a sigh of relief...... Well, my wallet is! In my opinion it is laughable that there has been a COD release, yet again with connection/server problems. Now, I can only base my opinion on what I am reading on this forum, but have not seen a truly positive report on the game. It could be that there are forum members really enjoying the game on their particular platform. If so then give us fence sitters a taste of your experience. I am still considering buying it, maybe after the new year when it's had a while to get rid of the issues, but then again maybe not........... PharmDawgg
The game in itself is not bad. It is fun. I see they are trying to innovate. I give Sledgehammer an A for effort. But for execution not so much. It is boots on the ground. Zombies has been redone with the Raven horror component. The campaign is engaging and makes feel part of a team. But until Activision/Xbox/PlayStation work out these sever issues the game is going to be doomed for failure except for the hardcore cod players who don’t care and will play it no matter what just because it is cod. And fix the issues over adding pay to win. Because adding it will just compound the problems. So would I recommend buying it. Yes definitely if you have never played a world war shooter before. ltr7
The game itself including the campaign is A+, the servers are a total joke unless you live next door to them. The campaign would be worth it and if you buy it on disc you can sell it later.
ColonicBoom
I don't think the majority of the issues are from the servers. They can sort out a lot of the problems with updates. It's the sweatiest CoD I've ever played by a long way. If you like camping and playing cautiously then you will love this more than any other CoD. I think this could end up being a great game but there's plenty of stuff they need to sort out before that's the case. Only 9 maps is a kick in the balls though. I can't shift the feeling that I've been mugged.
Kris
Would be decent if it wasn't for the "shoot first, die first" BS. Also only 9 maps is pathetic
ltr7
I think the matchmaking is way worse when playing on the dedicated severs and it feels a lot more like SBMM for sure, which makes it worse because your lagging and playing better players with better connections then you. procreate
Yeah, the 9 maps is complete BS. I've already grown bored with them. Of the 9 there are only 3 decent maps, and those 3 aren't even that great. The connection is a real shame as well. Also feel like all bullets don't count. Soloflyerz
Yea agreed the game itself is a lot of fun, but all this trial and error just to make the online play how it’s meant to be is horrible. It’s worth buying and I’m sure they’ll iron things out eventually to an extent like previous titles, but to be honest if your in it for multiplayer and don’t buy soon the curve may be too much to bother. Aside from the horrible hit detection and shoot first die first, it’s a much different experience to get good at and it’s going to get rougher for newcomers as time goes. Tons of potential and even with the issues I’m still having fun and I’ve never been much into zombies, but the issues in multi have forced me to enjoy it from time to time as well. I’ve not ventured into the campaign much yet, but it seems decent enough as well. If your bored with your current games it’s a good time, if your already hooked on other titles it’s probably not worth the frustration at this point.
