Zennon
The spikes are caused by the Intel puma 6 CPU used in the hub 3, do you still have your hub 2 to try in it's place? http://m.theregister.co.uk/2016/12/03/intel_puma_chipset_firmware_fix/

Zennon
I suggest buying a H2 from ebay and learning to MAC clone or move to fibre. I would do the latter.
Iilukas210
Hi thank you for response how would I mac clone and wouldn't virain have to activate the new hub ? Also I thought all virgin was fibre
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 21, 2017 Administrators Share Posted June 21, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! Sounds like you've got some good advice so far. I assume Zennon is talking about cloning the hub 3 MAC address to use as the hub 2's mac address so there is no issues with getting it working with Virgin. In which case you'd copy the MAC address of the hub 3 and then on hub 2 interface change the MAC to that.

Ziltoid Racer
Hi fraser thank you for the reply I will see about ordering a hub 2 and I will get back with the results thank you Good luck with that, lots of virgin customers have tried (me included) and are told hub 2 AC cannot be registered on the network now and with todays news of the hub 2 having a flaw in security with default passwords i doubt they will ship one unless you really annoy them with multiple calls daily someone may give in lol. This is my BQM
Zennon
If they will not let you have the 2 and the 3 has the Intel puma 6 cpu issue I would tell them you want to leave without paying out your exciting contract as they are surely breaking it. Vote with your feet and move to fibre fella's.
Iilukas210
Wow ziltoid at least I'm not the only with the **** hardware virgin are supplying you would have thought they would give customers compensation or some thing back but typical big company BS.... and zenon I was on the understanding all virgins lines are fibre optic or am I mistaken lol
