Pdubbski5
Why am I still suffering from lag when I play IW on my PS4? I'm experiencing worse ping issues than I was experiencing prior to purchasing the netduma. Tired of being out gunned by players with faster ping that typically host the room? What am I doing wrong?? Shouldn't the netduma allow me to "dominate lag"??? That was the promise that made me purchase this product. Unfortunately, this isn't the case for me. Shouldn't the netduma allow me to "dominate lag"??? That was the promise that made me purchase this product. Unfortunately, this isn't the case for me. Okay here's some tips I found not to long ago. Packet Loss Symbol - I used to get it all the time. I rarely get them and if the upload is saturated or you're not utilizing the congestion control right usually the 70% or even a 99% on the sliders would be nice enough to help it it., basically anything 99% and below means it's turned on. Back to the packet loss, I recently found that my ISP DNS was causing some issues to my local servers in my state. I even changed to googles "8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4" and I would still get packet loss symbols. BUT I did testing on pinging the local servers and using One DNS at a time and come to find out, I RARELY get packet loss ONLY using "8.8.4.4" DNS. I know, many say DNS doesn't do anything. Well I personally did the tests, and found pingning "45.63.80.58"(Los Angeles, California Server) I would rarely get packet loss where as before, I got packet loss everything 20 maybe 30 seconds into the ping session. Again, these are tests I found that helped reduce the connection problems. You probably would have to do some testing yourself . But yes, google DNS does help, they both might help you, but in my case only ONE helps keep my connection stable and that's "8.8.4.4" sounds silly, I know but someone helps. Now make sure you input your speeds you're getting into the bandwidth or you can do the speedtest.net find out what you have input the speeds and kput your congestion control on 70/70% or 99%/99%. Another thing is, you console doesn't need much bandwidth to begin with, I sometimes put my console into the 20% in the flower(or spider web). Seems to help some too. Again, it's gonna be a little different for ya, but still doesn't hurt to change the console % in the flower(spider web). I will say in the spider web 99% has NEVER worked for me. Don't want to derail thread but I just wanted to agree about something being up with 8.8.8.8. I still use it but only as the secondary and not the primary. I get better results with 8.8.4.4. I'm in the southeastern USA.

Just to let you know your not "getting out gunned by players with faster ping that typically host the room" most of IW is played on dedicated servers. And are you sure your duma is set up correctly ? Have you run Ping Plotter to make sure you don't have an ISP issue, which could cause the problems you mentioned. What kind of Modem are you using in your set up ? There are lots of things that can lead to the issues you describe, the best way to go about it is eliminating them one by one and that will help you pin point the problem. You input the 8.8.4.4 in the console or router? Something I am going to try.
TrayDay
You input the 8.8.4.4 in the console or router? Something I am going to try. On the router, LAN settings. I just put 8.8.4.4 twice in both the boxes. I know it's overkill but still did it to ensure i only use that DNS only. On WAN everything is automatic.
