Who do you pair with mostly without the GEO-Filter turned on?

I've noticed that I'm mostly connected to players from Japan, and Canada when I have the GF, turned off. Played a couple evenings and noticed the mass Japanese players in the lobby and would understand those symbols more and more now.

It doesn't matter whether I have the geo filter on or off, I still connect to the same peoples.

I believe the game uses its own geo filter thus using the Duma's is pointless.

On or off I connect only to those in western europe ie. UK, France, Spain, Italy and Germany.

On or off, west EU servers are full of players connecting from Saudi, Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, Iran, and sometimes even Pakistan and India... and that's in core TDM on PS4 for the biggest IW player pool possible. Imagine if we had the choice to play on servers with different latency limits

They should bring back the search parameter option from BO2, but with 'best' only allowing players on to servers with <50ms maybe, 'normal' up to 100ms and 'any' for anything else when you're in Malawi on a 3G mobile hotspot, it's 3am and you really want to play some hardcore gun game or cranked SnD in a DLC playlist lol

On or off, for the first six months on IW, the geofilter didn't help me because games would be laggy even on my flatline 7ms pings to the UK server. I've since discovered a workaround to find actually smooth games on low latency and the geofilter's ping assist slider appears to be vital to my recent success, allowing me to bypass what seems to be a huge flaw with regular matchmaking even when using the geofilter to find low latency games only.

Good to hear you're able to play again. I know its been a struggle!

Thanks man. Yeah it's like my thumbs, which seem to randomly break and fall off at will, have suddenly healed overnight ;)

It's certainly a network tweak they've done with this edition of the COD series.

Oh really, and what might this trick possibly be with the P.A? as I certainly wouldn't mind having stable games on the server closest to me. BUT, the consistency in stabilization in the server itself is horrible. I get 15ms to the closest to me, wouldn't mind it at all. The next best is 30ms which is a bit more stable and further in distance from my location. Then we have a third server, beyond the distance, but to my surprise I find to be the most stable if I can get into that server without IW networking, not letting me into it lol.

On Xbox One (and in the south of the UK), I only really connect to the dedis (and players) in western Europe. And I quite often see people in Scandinavia too.

Occasionally I get the odd player from the US or from eastern Europe or sometimes around Saudi Arabia but not very often (compared to BO3).

I see the same names often too, can't be too many players I suppose.

Never mind, apparently my game is broken again. Funny because for three days straight, in literally every game I used these settings (switching back and forth constantly), it was massively improved. I think maybe it's just time to call it a day with CoD tbh. Maybe yesterday's update has affected things.
