Netduma dead - what's the warranty?

Recommended Posts

My Duma kicked the bucket an hour ago. It's gone cold and dark but the power supply seems ok.

What's the warranty length?

Any suggested diagnostics other than try a different power supply?

Happened to me, but on checking the plug it had come slightly out of the socket.

I am assuming that you have checked that everything is plugged in correctly. Other than that, there's not much to suggest other than try another power supply adapter.

Fraser will respond to this when he sees it but I think they only start work at 10am GMT. Someone from netduma will reply today.

If only it was that simple. Everything was and remains plugged in correctly. Poor thing looks to have died a noble death.

I bought mine on March 15, 2015.

No lights on the router at all. Looks like a dead duck.

Any chance of an early adopter discount on a new R1? :nudge nudge wink wink:

I feel naked and vulnerable without my Netduma blankie...

It's alive! It's alive!

It turned out to be the power supply after all. The replacement PSU I tested also turned out to be dead

The original PSU was retaining heat, but decided to give up the ghost this morning. That gave me a glimmer of hope so I bought a new 12v supply and the Duma fired up. Pig, meet poo.

There's some jiggery-pokery required to get my R1 talking properly to the cable modem again and some DHCP stuff to fix, but otherwise she's lookin' good Verne.
Fixed - dang PoE port trips me up every time!

Thanks for your help Fraser ;)

Awesome to hear it was just the power supply! As your issue has been resolved I'll now close the thread. Feel free to open another if you have any more questions/issues :)
