DumaRocks
Now that it is obvious we are getting connected to P2P more often in IW, are there any good methods to ensure we are getting the most advantageous connections. Hasn't been horrible for me but in BO3 we were almost always connected to dedi. Just want to make sure there is not something I am missing about the duma that I should know, thanks. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 25, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 25, 2016 If that is the case and it is allowing more P2P games then that is great. Nothing specific to mention that would need to be changed for P2P games over dedicated server games. Other than enabling Peer Ping so you can see the ping to all the players. RoyDavis77
As far as i can tell they are still using dedicated servers, but like aw they use a player to host the matchmaking lobby, the game then switches to a dedicated server when players are in count down mode, thats based on what ive seen on my connection anyway. Correct me if I am wrong, mid game I get host migration often, does that not mean I am on a P2P vs dedicated or could that happen with dedi. Not sure why it would unless something went wrong with that particular server.

Not sure why it would unless something went wrong with that particular server. They are using dedis mostly, it seems to go P2P occasionally though. But like Roy says, it picks a player-host in the lobby first then puts you onto a dedi. I've seen host-migration on the dedis a couple of times, usually just before the servers fall over. ...unless you're forcing P2P with your Geo filter settings of course. omega4
I've been getting P2P mostly (with me as host!) thanks to the Netduma's Geofilter. Playing COD IW has never been so glorious!

fuzzy clam
Hello sorry for my english it is the translation by google I wanted to ask you how to force the geo filter to find that of the p2p? If you have issues please start your own thread as it eliminates confusion with getting multiply answers for multiple questions on same thread, thanks.
