Fresh after a manual reset I can't even access the CC menu.

Recommended Posts

Man what is up?  I've had slow but not this slow gui before.  I fully reset both of these dumas last night since I can't get into a lobby or control where I connect  (purpose)  any longer just to see if maybe it was hosed up from so many changes over the last few weeks and now I cannot even access the congestion controls. Seriously it's been sitting here for over 10 minutes trying to open the menu page.

Had this also, buggy as hell, had to factory reset. All this after I manually port forwarded, and took an Ethernet cable out the (not main one to ISP) and it all went tits up. Not sure if it was port forwarding or taking the cable out.

Slow UI can be caused by a number of factors; the most common being extensions / add-ons for browsers, or the actions you are taking when the UI slows down. Let us know if changing anything extension-wise speeds it up. I am however going to raise the connection between the slow-downs and port-forwarding and see if this is something we can recreate / fix for you guys.

In the meantime, try disabling different extensions and test it out on different browsers, ensuring you aren't downloading at the time. The best way to judge it is how many times the loading - bar square animation repeats. If you could let us know (the average is around 2 times) that would help get to the root of the problem.

I don't think it's anything to do with extensions. As I've used Firefox and Chrome. It's soon as you try to add a port that upnp claims it open aka 3074 udp, 9308 / 9307 udp. . Disable upnp and manually forward those. It's like bam netduma is non responsive. Factory reset and it's like new again, put on upnp. Everything is fine. Shouldn't be like this. Many posts saying netduma crawls out of nowhere. This is why from my tests on this.

For cod if we open modern warfare. It forces upnp to open cod ports. But what if u don't have modern warfare or its a different game. Manually changing ports makes router non operable.

Set it and forget it would be a nice modo. But obviously we can't do that on this router.

Atm only good thing is geo filter. With IW ping assist doesn't work only radius. Which makes the router not do its job. I want ping as ping is king. Not Tom , dick and Harry using Mc Donalds WiFi with 100 ping even tho he is 100 miles away.

This product is geared towards cod. Atm it doesn't work fully. Updating server id doesn't fix problem.

I've brought this port-forwarding bug up, and we're going to try to replicate the bug in-house and get it fixed. If everyone experiencing a slow interface after port-forwarding could let me know their firmware version, set-up and what ports specifically they're forwarding to, we can hopefully get this resolved.

It's interesting that this bug has only become widespread since the launch of Infinite Warfare; likely due to the number of people trying to port-forward for it, but potentially it could be a specific port issue. All information is useful at this point guys.

EDIT: Does anyone with this issue have UPnP ticked and are port-forwarding as well? This will cause a conflict with the router, since UPnP will be automatically opening ports anyway. If you can't get an open NAT with UPnP, it's worth doing your port-forwarding rules and disabling UPnP.
