Netduma Cutting My Internet Speed in Half

I've read the solution somewhere before but I can't find it. Someone please post it again. Thx!

To my knowledge, this is correct. you should see around 40% drop in your bandwidth. There are some tweaks you can do, but you will not get your full ISP bandwidth once using a third party device.

Thats not true at all, you will only see a drop in bandwidth if you decrease the CC sliders or don't have it setup correctly.

Its posted many times around the forum but the best place is on the home page called 'Knowledge Base'

Here's the speed help section: http://forum.netduma.com/forum/51-getting-full-speeds/

I'm on 152/10 but with the Duma I get 165/11.5 max

Thanks but that's not what I'm looking for. I think it was the admin's post about ticking and unticking boxes

Hope this helps.

Reactive Algorithm

100% anti-flood

Share excess enabled

Reset device prioritisation & apply

Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc

Disable deep packet in misc

Enable turbo mode for speeds up to 300mbps

Enable super turbo mode for speeds up to 999mbps

Both turbo and super turbo have to be selected for super turbo to work.

Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds.

Do a wired speed test from a PC

This was during 12 in the midnight which has little traffic. I think it's my ISP. It's time to find a new one. What a fucking joke

If your settings are exactly what Buck said, then it's looking very likely that your ISP isn't getting you the speeds you're paying for. Perhaps try another ethernet cable, other ports in the router, and try doing speed tests at different times in the day. (Even though you did one at a good time). You need to make sure you've ruled out every option before you go to your ISP.

Also, what speeds do you get by running a speed test wired into your ISP hub? That's probably the best way to rule out the Netduma; it'll always be a higher number, but if it's not much higher then your ISP is at fault. Let us know how you get on :)
