Setting port range for Hyper-Traffic? Leaving port field empty = all ports?

Recommended Posts

I have a question about how the Hyper-Traffic settings, and what rules are applied in certain circumstances, because it's a bit ambiguous compared to other router firmwares I've used.

It does not appear that there is a way to set a port range for Hyper-Traffic; only a single port. Which might prove somewhat problematic for me, as I prefer to include a wider swathe of ports to prioritize in the off-chance that a game might need to use a port other than the standard 3074.

Having said that, what happens if I leave the port field empty? If I set my PS4 as a Hyper-Traffic device, and then select UDP as the protocol (because it's a safe bet that 99% of all gaming packets will be using the UDP protocol), but leave the ports fields empty, does that then mean that all UDP ports on my PS4 are prioritized by the Hyper-Traffic feature?

All ports are in the hyperlane already when you choose Xbox Live and/or Playstation Network presets...

Which ports, specifically?

Also, does it apply for both Source AND Destination ports, when choosing the PlayStation Network preset?

I personally like to have finer, manual control over which ports I prioritize.

You can check that out in the .json files we save as profiles also.

I cant see any of that with the get hyper.sh

You need to have a device in hyper traffic already

Duh :P

Let me all know if chiming in like this is allowed or not....When I add my PS4 to Hyperlane will the ports that it uses be hidden or may I see them?  I only click once to add device to Hyperlane and I select PS4 and PlayStation Network.  One time I went to edit what port it uses in the Hyperlane and it only showed port 80.

Never mind I re-read the original message couple of times and the answers I am all set lol.

Thank You
