kevo Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 My ping diagnostic is working and hasnt been working quite some time now every time i run the test nothing happens. I run the tired wired from my netduma to my laptop, all it does is freeze my internet. My setup is Netgear cm600 netduma then tp link c2600. Ive tried it with different modems and it still doesnt work
BIG__DOG Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 you are performing the ping test wired?......it can take upto about 3 minutes to run diagnostic.......if you are performing the test wirelessly then you wont get a result as it cuts off all wireless traffic.
ColonicBoom Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 You can run 'Ping Diagnostic' if you're on wifi, it doesn't matter. The test doesn't actually run on the laptop, the laptop just tells you the result from the Netduma.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 9, 2016 Administrators Posted September 9, 2016 Does the loading symbol appear as though it is doing it? As above it should take a few minutes. If you're on wired it will then auto refresh to show the results. It does disconnect the internet as it's a pure line test.
kevo Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 i see the lines up there for a few mins with no results Does the loading symbol appear as though it is doing it? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 11, 2016 Administrators Posted September 11, 2016 When that occurs do you notice if it shows you're connecting to something else instead? If you turn WiFi off on your PC and are just connected via ethernet and do the test again it should show results when it's finished. It does take a few minutes
