iAmMoDBoX
So Call of Duty can have their space men... But THESE are the guys who made COD what it used to be back in the day and this is going to be EPIC!!!

And they discussed dedicated servers in the development video series I posted about a week ago. Kinda funny because the last game that had good hit detection (MW2) was the last game this group of people work on
fuzzy clam
Might be something to check out as the first one was only for XBOX and if I don't like the way IW plays it would be nice to have a game to fall back on. My hope was Respawn would do a FPS old school style (MW2 ish) and have it look and function like COD but I'm sure there's a reason they didn't,I'll assume legal issues... A7Legit
I'm not getting hype for TF2, if it plays great and it doesn't continue the rooftop camping BS it'll likely survive the initial 2-3 months but I don't see this game offering anything that put Vince Zampella on the map with COD, sure he and West were the guys who starte the COD craze but they also offered a reward system, TF doesn't do that. I likely sound unfair to some here but it is what it is, this beta should be fun, it's new.
Slipknot31286sic6
Titan fall was biggest Xbox flop. They wouldn't even release sales for months. Bringing it to ps4 should grow sales . Since ps4 outsells Xbox 3 to 1. Only time will tell. No different than destiny being biggest marketing loss in history eh
A7Legit
2 days with the TF2 pre-alpha and I preordered Infinte Warfare, I'm actually serious! This "test" of TF2 threw me into the arms of the studio they (Zampella and West) originally created, in a sense Vince Zampella has lived long enough to see his baby decimate everything else he creates! I feel it's fitting also. What works well in Titanfall 2 is the hit registration, it's more or less on point when the provided dedicated servers work as they should. The fact it runs 1080p/60fps is also a great achievement with the graphical fidelity this "pre-alpha" has. Respawn claim this build is from June, which if true is stupid (IMO) though still a sign that they had a working build earlier on in the lifecycle that was playable and already better than most beta's! What sucks is that this game still has a skill gap and learning curve, the reason that sucks is because instead of gamers picking this up and trying to get into using the grappling and wall running and revamped movement system (which IMO is still slow and floaty) they have forced people to camp, people feel obliged to play the game on the back foot, camping and holding down rooftops or towers with sniper rifles and LMG's, this is bad decision making on Respawn's behalf, when you release a title and camping is the predominant tactic to win rounds, round after round you have a losing formula and your game really should die a quick yet painful and humiliating death!! What's a bigger kick in the ball sack here is that a notable share of the faithful 3-4k cult followers from the original Titanfall dislike Titanfall 2 also lol. I assume Respawn devs are in a frantic panic right now, but sadly I believe they'd turned people off of their game and realistically with the time they had in development you'd expect "from the makers of Call of Duty Modern Warfare" to be more in touch with what is required for a winning formula! I agree with everything, but at the same time they do listen to their community so let's see what changes. As for the skill gap issue I think that can be blamed on a much broader issue of the society we live in where everyone must get a participation trophy instead of facing the fact that they suck at something and need to actually learn the skill. When it comes to two games that have one of the largest skill gaps I know of, Rocket League and Titanfall, my friends say they hate X game and the reason is because they aren't instantly good at it. I can accept that, but it's not as absolute as saying people dislike the game because they can't instantly dominate, some of us can lead the charge and still win rounds, just that to do it, you need to play this game by camping, you don't have the avenues other FPS titles have such as rushing, using the environment to your advantage or even flanking... That makes for a poor resulting FPS.

For example on the 2 maps we have, I can go from spawn to B hardpoint in 2-3 seconds now with grapple and boost jumps. COD players are still on the ground sprinting. For example on the 2 maps we have, I can go from spawn to B hardpoint in 2-3 seconds now with grapple and boost jumps. COD players are still on the ground sprinting. The true issue with TF2 is it lost its identity and took steps backward not forward, I actually liked TF1 more than TF2 and whilst campers existed you didn't need to spawn trap or camp to win rounds and rack up kills, a good FPS doesn't give you a limited way to play a game for success, those types of games die fast andTF2 will likely as well, especially when your cult following from the first are also flogging the dead horse in the TF forums. What's unfortunate is Vince and Respawn did take criticism well, even trying to listen to the complaints (that at the time were justified) but IMO didn't find the middle ground, it's another bad year for Respawn it seems. Sorry Titanfall...
