Can´t find any games and general issues on BOPS3 in PS4!

Recommended Posts

My genetal Settings are in the pictures. I had an 1 on 1 request with Fraser and gave me all those set ups for my Netduma and i mangaed to had a 4 Bar Ping wich is very rare due to my location to the nearest server. (Ecuador - Nearest server: Miami) It worked regular, (for a couple of days) not excelent, not good, just fine or regular because i was still getting lag drops and terrible games with a 4 Ping Bar.

Now this is getting really frustrating more that ever. Now I can´t even find any game modes on BOPS3.

I was reading a lot of post in this forum of people from Latin America complaining about this product and i just think that this router is not designed to work properly in Latin America. This is getting ridiculous asking for help over and over again.

If you guys want to make some research about why your product does not work properly in South America and Latin America this is your chance!

What is your base ping? Have you run the diagnostics check or ping plotter for a few hours to see if it is a problem with your isp,? If not that would be the first place to start.

If you run ping plotter do it for several hours at an interval of 2.5 seconds or higher and look at a graph of several hours.

If you are having any issues therecarebplenty of people on here who can advise you.

Can you please provide some link or more information of what exactly is a ping plotter? How does it work and all that? Thanks.

There are a lot of posts/threads about Ping Plotter and how to use it within the forum already, just search for it.

Alternatively you can find Ping Plotter by searching here...

www.google.com

It's not that the router isn't designed for South America / Latin America, the router will work regardless of location, it's more likely that your internet is not optimal for gaming.

These are my final results. Dont know what exactly is my base ping and you could see in the graph i have 3 packet loss represented by those red vertical lines.

Honestly, my itention is not become a master in Ping Plotter, just need a fix for this.

Any suggestions considering my results?

Your ping will be higher due to your location that is to be expected. For games though, go to settings > miscellaneous make sure auto & bleeding edge cloud is ticked. Then click apply even if they are ticked already - this will flush the cloud.

Then follow this guide to make sure you're seeing everything on the map: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000022408-why-can-t-i-see-anything-on-the-geo-filter-

I'm assuming you were using the PS4 in this picture?

There are lots of gamers in that area,I get them connected to a dedi bank in Illinois,so I know there are players from that area. It's not say as heavily populated as the US with gamers,so it might take you longer to find games but there are players there.

Not that it's gonna make or break your set up but if you took the time to manually port forward those ports you should at least have enable port forwarding ticked in miscellaneous settings.

I have all those ports OPEN as you could see in the picture and just ENABLED port forwarding in Misc and anything changed.

UPDATE: I managed to find games with 2 - 3 ping bars with a latency of 130 - 160 ms  disabling PlayStation Network game service, Strict Mode, Geo Filter, and Ping Assist in 0 that is the same that having any other router. This is ridiculous, lack of assistance, lack of a good service.

This is worst than before i bought this router.

I live in the north east US area and have been using this Duma since December. I have able to clearly see a difference in the connection of players in game and less lag compared to using my ISP's router or even just playing with the geo filter disabled for a day or two. That being said, for about the last week or two I've honestly been having trouble finding full lobbies in BO3 (PS4) or when I do it's almost unplayable due to the amount of terrible connections from other people in the lobbies. Im experiencing these issues using the EXACT same settings I've been using for a while now that have produced great results in finding games quick and with little to mostly no lag at all.

I know a lot of other friends & other people have been complaining about this same issue recently. Some have a Duma and some do not so I'm honestly starting to think there may be an issue with the game for whatever reason. Ironically enough I check YouTube today and saw that Drift0r posted this video last week regarding similar issues. It definitely relates to part of the issues I've personally been noticing but it may or may not be related to your issues. He has some tips in the video to try and fix it. I tried following the steps myself today and it didn't get any better than before but it still might be worth a shot for you to try. Can't hurt either way so figured I'd mention it so at least you know you're not alone! All in all I can personally vouche for the benefits of having a duma and genuinely believe your issues are not related to using the Duma where you're located. Hang in there my dude :)

I tried that to fix frame drops and actually worked, sadly, im still having general issues with my conection. Glad you have your Duma since December and work so perfect for you, since i bought mine its been just rage quiting. Bought this product to fix my issues not to make those issues worse. And yes, i still belive that most of my issues is where i live because in Latin America there is no interconection and no servers.

Thanks for the fix for those framedrops but i already tried.

For your situation you I'm pretty sure that the Duma doesn't control the pings of who connects to the host or dedi that you are also connected to. It only allows hosts (connections) that are within your set distance range. What I'm thinking might be worth a try (if you haven't already) is to lower your distance to as low as it can go. Then set your ping assist to anywhere in between 50-75 but experiment with it a little and change it up. Then untick strict mode. I think this would help you more by relying on the lower ping with the PA then you are with relying on distance to host. Might take a tad longer than normal to find a lobby but it might better your odds of connecting to player hosts with a lot better (lower) ping.

I'm not an expert on the Duma like most are on here but I've done a lot of general testing and tinkering with different general settings and geo filter settings over the last 8-9 months so I am pretty familiar with their product and software at this point. I definitely won't claim to know all by any means though. Just passing along a thought I had.

Duma admins or veterans: please correct me if this idea won't help his situation.

As I said I'll take a look at your settings in a 1 on 1 :)

Yes that sounds correct and you could try this if you wanted to. I'll still go through settings on a 1 on 1 though.

Yes, i tried that. I lowered the Host Filter as lower its possible and set 85 ms for Ping Assist. This are the results:

I've waited 27 minutes to found a TDM lobby, latency 115 - 150 ms, Kills 14 Deaths 40. Stayed in that lobby for the next match hoping the conection to improve and got 8 kills - 35 Deaths. A very sad KDR. Im very disapointed and feel so frustrated with this product, wish i could say the opposite as lots of people who bought this router.

Wow that's rough. I still don't think the Duma is to blame especially when it comes to your K/D ratio but hopefully a 1 on 1 with Fraser with help better your situation. Maybe it's just a small settings tweak that is being over looked at the moment? Best of luck though!
