Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 20, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 20, 2016 If you're not aware we launched our new Knowledge base! This is a significant upgrade to our WiKi that we were using before. Some of the features it includes: A Google like search that shows suggested articles as you type A "Was this helpful" up/down vote system on each article Related articles Quick buttons to the most important parts of the knowledge base - Quick Start, Optimal Settings, Features, FAQs. You can check this out here. We would like your feedback on this. You will be the ones using it everyday so please let us know your thoughts. For example, specific guides you may want added etc.

Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 21, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 21, 2016 Is it possible to add headers to some of the articles which which have different sections which let you link to them. On the old Wiki you could get links to a specific part of the page like this.
fuzzy clam
IMO it looks good, definitely an upgraded new look version from the old version on the WIKI. I just hope people will read it as it has a lot of good information in there and a lot of work that you guys put into it. Nobody has come up with a way to send shocks thru people's computers if they don't read the WIKI before the post...
UK_Wildcats_Fans
What is the basis of the search - i.e. all forums, wiki? It does not seem to handle multi-word searches very well. For example, I typed in "firmware update" and it provided lots of things for update but not "firmware update". If I try the search with the quotes around it, it does not show anything. I also tried searching using "knowledge base" to see if it pulls up this topic, but it showed lots of searches for "knowledge" or "base" but not "knowledge base". Are you searching from here http://support.netduma.com/support/home ? It works fine as I type it finds firmware and as i carry on with update it adds more. UK_Wildcats_Fans
Of course, I am using the link from this post to provide the requested feedback. I am noticing that the search does not find multi-word searches or it does not search all the forum. For example, type in "honest review". I would expect the topic below to be shown. However, it does not show up. http://forum.netduma.com/topic/7662-netduma-honest-review/ Type in "network monitor", and I would expect to see the topic below somewhere within the results. http://forum.netduma.com/topic/17377-development-network-monitor-round-one/ Based upon these, I assume that the search query is limited to the wiki and knowledge base sections of the website and does not fully search the entire Netduma website (i.e. the forums). It may just be my confusion since "topic" can mean a basic topic like "geofilter" or "port forwarding". However, "topic" can also be related to a forum topic.
