Upload speed required for hosting?

1 Mbps is plenty enough as a baseline, considering you don't share a lot of bandwidth in your household.

Ping is still key here, keep that in mind. If your baseline ping isn't that great, it'll result in gameplay not being smooth.

Isnt 1mb too low for hosting a match? I believe everyone will lag if im hosting with only 1mb as im host i will be sending data constantly to other players. Ping will not be an issue on fiber optic i guess.

Back in the ADSL up to 8mb and later up to 21mb I used to buy an office product to get 1mb up and I used to host all the time on MW and Bops on the 360 and it was great.

So 4-5mb should be great then. So i might pull host most of the time as people have terrible internet in my country and when they host the game lags for everyone.

Pretty sure on bo3 you're gonna be on a dedicated server 99% of the time... As for bandwidth required to host. If it is just you on your internet and you are not in a party chat then you can go down to as low as 200kbps and still host a fine game with no lag. Ping is what matters, not bandwidth.

I was talking about older cods such as bo2 and mw3. Right now i have 450kbps but i never get host. I think 2.5-3mb will be enough for smooth experience for everyone. I once got host in Uncharted 4 and it was very laggy for others so 450kbps might not be enough i guess.
