Acebri
I have got rid of the xbox one for the ps4 . Black ops 3 is totally unplayable for me on the ps4 everytime i am shooting first all i get is hitmarkers then i die instantly . Why is this happening when i have better ping by 20 ms smoother gameplay than playing on the xbox one . The netduma worked for me on the xbox one , i had solo domintation stats of spm 587 , 58k kills 23k deaths . Now on the ps4 it is SO CRAZY its like when i never had a netduma . i am shooting first 3-4 hitmarkers and then i die instantly not just a few times a game every gun fight im dying before i feel any bullets hitting me . Like i said i dnt know what is happening but the netduma aint doing what it did with the xbox one Xbox one i was playing with a 45+ ping every game and noticed that the netduma was performing. Ps4 every game is below 30 ping. Feels and looks so much better gameplay , but feels like i aint got no netduma working its magic
Dillinger
There are a lot of variables in what you wrote, so I am kind of unclear as to if there was a question sandwiched in there? The competition is going to be tougher on the PS4. I have seen this myself and I know several others who have commented as well. The PS4 dedicated servers have been hit or miss (ha ha #Punning) as long as the game has been out. Currently the Azure servers that Xbox One is using for their dedicated matches seem to play better, for me and others here as well. The ping between the systems is easily explained. This is a round trip of travel time between your console of choice and the server they use. Since this will not be the same server, and may not even be in the same building, you really should expect to see a difference in your base pings, which you are above. I would say the distance traveled from your console to the XB1 server is a greater distance away that from your PS4 and their server. As for the Duma - It wasn't designed with Black Ops 3 in mind. Black Ops 3 wasn't developed with the NetDuma in mind. They are completely unrelated, thus their paring is going to be based on what the Duma was designed to do and if the Black Ops 3 matchmaking is working against that. The NetDuma's design is to OPTIMIZE your home network and get you the most efficient 1's and 0's it can, while limiting the overall distance to the host being used for the game. Black Ops 3, right now, is using dedicated servers as their host boxes and the matchmaking follows accordingly. You log your console on and the game is looking for that connection that is considered "in your area". Have you tested the quality of your line yet? To see if you are fighting other, external factors? The game play can't be the basis for "whether the Duma works right" because there are at least 4-6 other people (in an average PUB lobby) involved with that testing scenario that are there specifically working against you and that variable will be constantly in flux. So yeah - There is a lot that hit me when I read your post. Was there something specific you needed help with?
RobReapz
The trouble is every decent player knows when they are getting bullshitted in a straight up gun fight and for those of us who have done all the testing for our own individual networks and found there to be no problems are struggling to comprehend what on earth is going wrong when others seem to have no problems. Im tired of hearing the competition is harder or the enemys cud be using a scuf etc lol. it makes no difference when youve bin playing long enough to know what your looking for in regards to what i call unfair lag compensation. Dillinger is a decent player. It's not simply that 'others seem to have no problems', it's just that we accept that the internet is fickle and we appreciate that there is a need for lag compensation. If you've tested your own network and line and you know that it's working very well then you can be confident that it is either the dedicated server or it is the person against whom you are playing. Using the Netduma's 'Temp Ban' feature you can leave the lobby and get onto a different server, other than that you just have to deal with it because you can't control the servers or your opponents' connections. There are a lot of good videos on youtube explaining lag compensation and why it's absolutely necessary, if you've been playing long enough to know what you're looking for then you really owe it to yourself to go and get a good understanding of it. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 30, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 30, 2016 It sounds like the duma is doing it's job getting you that low ping. If you provide the screenshots from here - http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=lag_support_instructionswe can look into your settings to see if they can be optimised. fuzzy clam
As great as the duma is,it can't fix bad coding on the game or the lag comp that may or may not be built in.It's the internet and there will be dicey games and there will be good games, you have people connecting to a server from all over the country and the duma has no control over that. Make sure your ISP is good (not bogged down with jitter) and your setting are correct for your network. All online FPS games can be annoying to say the least but sounds like the duma is working like it should be getting you host close to you and low ping.
