I got you - Google can be your friend. :P

To take a screenshot and save it as a file. Press the Windows logo key +PrtScn. Or, if you're using a tablet, press the Windows logo button + the volume down button. The screen will dim for a moment when the screen is copied and saved as a file in theScreenshots folder (which is in your Pictures folder).

Can you move the top bar that separates the graph from the green numbers above to give us a look at the hops you have?  I can see through hop 5, and some of hop 6, and that looks good, but I do notice the graph to the right is moving to the right, which isn't a great sign.

That looks like my reading's before I switched ISP's as they just had way to much node overload because they oversold the service and now don't have the ability to provide a clean line to anyone, which is really bad for gaming.

I had to get a different ISP for a dedicated gaming line as the original ISP refused to acknowledge the issue was on their end.

How do I fix it?

This most likely isn't something that the average home owner can fix as its' most likely cause are the other customers sharing the line out on the street, or the line and equipment on the street itself.

First step is to contact your ISP and start that pain staking process.

Or as Zennon indicated, see if it makes sense to consider switching to a FTTC/FTTH variant, or DSL/VDSL to get better line quality.

I swear I always knew there was a problem. Ever since mw3. Smh

*Assuming what you have is a traditional US based Cable TV architecture out on your street -

This condition will most likely come and go. The busier the line, the worse the condition.  During off peak hours, like 0200 in the morning, the response will probably be much better, but when traffic peaks, this is going to continue/increase and MAY get worse if you live in area that is growing rapidly with new customers.

This is one of the key reasons a couple of us decided to go with a dedicated gaming line that is more of a Fiber or V/DSL feed.  They are quieter and they are less susceptible to this type of condition.

Sorry to hear my friend, but at least you have confirmed your suspicions.  Now you can work on eliminating the true problem instead of working with band-aids. :)

I will look into dsl.

They have a new variant in the states.  Well, it was new to me, so I don't know how many people got the memo.

VDSL - This is a new fiber overlay to an existing phone architecture, which will give you greater distance over plain, old twisted pair.  You can't get super fast speeds (40/8 is my speed) but you don't need much at all for gaming and I can still stream Twitch while I am playing, so it's enough for that level of use in my realm.

If they have that as an option, they will probably have a package of just the internet (no phone/tv/etc) which is like a basic package.  That might save you a few bucks a month

So basically I'm screwed. Nothing is available in my area.

You're not screwed :).  Yes there is some jitter.  On average my ping plotter looks almost exactly like yours.  And i'm in the same boat.  No other ISP available nor will mine ever admit that it's anything on their end.   But this jitter does not affect me at all.  The thing that affects the most are servers with players that truelly do have poor poor internet.  So while this jitter may look like it's bad to you, it's not terrible.  I outslay many rooms with no issue.  Best advice is not worry with it if it's out of your hands and just slay on.  Good players play good regardless of these little hiccups.  Good luck!

What settings should I do with the Duma to help me then. There has to be something I can do

The best two things that come to mind are insure that you are protected from other household users' activities by insuring you have your sliders set to a decent amount (70/70) and running ping plotter prior to gaming to see what you are up against.

If the line looks good, you will know, but if the line looks like it does in the sample, you will go in better armed to understand some of those WTF moments.

At that point you can choose to continue, or you can try camping a remote dedi to see if that assists by way of "Lag Comp" (which some of here has tested and find to be pretty good actually).

Last ditch effort?  Shotgun class with every fast perk and learn the maps less traveled areas to flank a lot.  I do that when I play with guys on the UK servers and it actually works really well.  I suspect it's infuriating as fuck on the other side of the pond if they could see where I was connecting from but.....  ;)
