kimabll86
Guys I need some major assistance. Here's what I have: Time warner cable internet with a motorola dashboard that i own. I have a nighthawk r7000 and now the netduma r1. I want to use the netduma for gaming on my ps4 and use the nighthawk for wifi. I've searched the forums and tried the setups suggested but nothing is working. The netduma will not connect when it is alone, without the nighthawk being plugged in. The only time i can login to 192.168.88.1 is when i have the wifi from the nighthawk, but then i can't log into destiny on the ps4. when i switch the nighthawk to AP i get no wifi, and i turned off the wifi on the netduma so i have no internet at all at that point. The net duma is on the latest firmware 1.3.6 or whatever it is. Can someone please help.
Zennon
Modem > Netuma > nighthawk in ap mode , is how other members have this set up. Remember to turn off the duma and nighthawk attach the duma and night hawk up then turn on the duma first wait for it to fully boot then turn on the nighthawk. kimabll86
OK its working now but I can't get Wi-Fi on my computer. I assume this is because it only has 2.4 and even tho the netduma's Wi-Fi is disabled it won't work? Any suggestions?

kimabll86
Destiny and my ps4 are working great. I can connect to the 5G on my phone and my roommate's computer. The 2.4 on my computer is still a bit of an issue. It will open some sites but not others. Any further advice?

RobReapz
For instance, I can't get 192.168.88.1 to open. Are you trying to open 192.168.88.1 from your netduma or from your Nighthawk? I have a 2 router setup and can only open netdumas interface from connecting to the netduma not from my primary router.
kimabll86
It doesn't work either way, when I plug into the netduma I don't have a connection on my computer.
RobReapz
Have you got all your ethernet cables in the right ports i.e WAN/LAN?
kimabll86
I'm pretty sure, but how should it be just so I know for sure.
kimabll86
OK now when I have my computer wired to the netduma it says that the sites dns server can't be reached. Does that help?
kimabll86
Still having the same issue on my computer where some sites wont open ie 192.168.88.1, it says that it took too long to respond. I'm able to use my roommate's computer to get to that site and access the netduma settings so if i need to make some changes I can. This is not a long term solution tho, to just use roomie's computer I mean. I can also log into the nighthawk. It is definitely in AP mode and the connections are good as near as I can tell. Modem to netduma in the poe slot. Then slot 2 goes to the nighthawk in it's number 1 position. Then on the netduma's slot 3 is my ps4, slot 4 is my roommate's ps4. Any help to get this all fully functional would be greatly appreciated.
Zennon
Always turn off the routers before you cable them back up. Duma on first wait for it to fully boot then nighthawk last. Use firefox or chrome as your browser never use IE or Edge.
kimabll86
ok tried all that, still not working. i then tried disabling the 2.4 on nighthawk and enabling wifi on the duma. it kept saying that the channel was wrong.
