kizvandutch
On my isp router do i keep my stealth mode on ? does it really matter when i game with these feature...i'm talking about my isp router not the netduma settings. cheers (1. Select the stealth mode state. When stealth mode is enabled, the modem will not respond to unsoliciated WAN traffic, including pings..)

If your speed is over 120 Mbps I would just disable IPV6 completely if you can because the NetDuma doesn't use it... If you can't I would just keep the IPV6 firewall disabled. Since you should have your NetDuma in the ISP's DMZ it bypasses the firewall anyway, from my understanding.
kizvandutch
my speed is 50 down and 10 upload. should i still disable ipv6?
iAmMoDBoX
my speed is 50 down and 10 upload. should i still disable ipv6? It can't hurt either way on the duma... But I would disable the firewall on the ISP router. If possible put it into bridge mode.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 24, 2016 Administrators Share Posted May 24, 2016 I wouldn't bother with stealth mode, it won't help your connection quality either way. As above, if I did a 1 on 1 I would most likely disable that.
kizvandutch
My isp is ipv6 so should I apply that to my netduma. But when I do a test for ipv6 the netduma doesn't say I have it. It says I only have ipv4. Why is that?
PharmDawgg
I have Ipv6 enabled on the WAN/LAN side of the R1 and under Miscellaneous>Settings enable Ipv6 link local. I use chrome and go to this site http://test-ipv6.comand mine works fine.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 25, 2016 Administrators Share Posted May 25, 2016 Do you actually get an IPv6 address from your ISP? They may just support it but its not enabled. If you have speeds under 120mbps you can leave IPv6 enabled and be fine
kizvandutch
if my isp supports ipv6 why does the netduma r1 have issues with ipv6?

Zennon
From a security stand point I would enable stealth mode.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 26, 2016 Administrators Share Posted May 26, 2016 If IPv6 is definitely enabled on both it should work just fine and show that address.
