EA Games and NetDuma on Xbox One

Ste

Recommended Posts

Hi

I've asked about this in the chat box a few times.

With the netduma, I'm unable to connect to EA servers.

Fifa 15 - it connects to a player, then each and every time, say there is some wrong with their nat type and looses connection. If I try to play a friend, it connects us, then freezes both xbox's and boots us both to the dashboard and the game has to be restarted, and then does the same thing again.

As suggested I tried it with my old router, to see if things worked fine they did and I had no issues connecting to games.

Thinking nothing of it, I bought BF4 on the cheap today.

Same thing is happening I can't connect to any of the servers, it just tells me I've lost connection.

But with another router it works fine.

I've tried it with the geo filter on and off and nothing makes any difference.

Is any one else having any issues ?

Is there a fix ?

I was hoping that the new firmware may have removed this issue, but its still the same.

Hi mate, you need to disable IPv6. You can do this:

  • Settings > LAN then disable IPv6
  • Settings > WAN then disable IPv6
  • Settings > Misc disable linklocal

That should help, let me know if not :)

How have you disabled IPv6? Remember you need to do it in "Settings > LAN", "Settings > WAN" & "Settings > Misc". The misc one is linklocal.

Done all of them Iain.

linklocal wasn't ticked to start with.

Willa reboot of router help ?

Because as soon as all that is tick I loose connection to xbox live and not just EA servers and the nat goes strict and I test the connection on the xbox and it states DNS error.

ok mate something is really weird because if you have ipv6 off AND geo-filter off then it behaves like a normal router. Can you try rebooting the router by going to "Settings > Misc" and clicking reboot and also HARD rebooting the xbox/playstation please

Did all that, and changed my DNS server its now working.

Does IPV6 need to be on for the geofilter to work ?

or can it be left off ?

It can be left off :)
