RunFrenchyRun
Hi everyone, Purchased a Netduma router last Friday. Followed the setup instructions but I was unable to get it to connect to the internet at all. Scoured the forums but nothing seemed to work. Currently, I have my modem connected to my old router, which is then connected to the Netduma and seems to be fine. Ideally I want to get rid of my old router and just use the Netduma. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted March 1, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted March 1, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum What ISP are you using? If you are connected to an Openreach modem you need to use PPoE on the Netduma.
RunFrenchyRun
Hey thanks. Currently with Plus Net. I tried playing around with the PPoE settings, not sure if I had the right username/password combo?
bagsta69
You could try these Broadband Username/Login name [email protected] Connection Type / Encapsulation PPPoE Always On or try here http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/hardware/broadband-connection-settings.shtml
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 2, 2016 Administrators Share Posted March 2, 2016 Welcome to the forum and thanks for purchasing! It does sound like you require PPPoE so try the above suggestion and you should be good to go
RunFrenchyRun
Thanks for the replies everyone. So to breakdown what I did: Settings > WAN settings > Enabled PPPoE Typed in [email protected] (replaced 'username' with my actual username) and gave my standard plusnet password. Still no luck. Is there anything else I could be missing?
