bagsta69
Hi yall, I game with mostly American friends from the East coast to the West and wondered what would happen in the following scenario. They are all allowed past my geo filter as I have given them 100% and added to allow list. I have gamed in a party with them with me inviting them to my party and the geo filter puts us all in lobbies in Europe. If they invited me to their party and I still had my geo filter on as it usually is set to 1000k. Would I still be able to play? Would the game still look for a host within 1000k of me or within my PA setting?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted February 24, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted February 24, 2015 If you are talking about Advanced Warfare, then it doesn't work very well. If the party leader connects to a host outside go your GeoFilter, it will allow him and the rest of the party to connect. When it can't connect you, it will back everyone out of the game and a message will show on the party leaders screen saying "A party member disconnected," or something like that. I can't remember exactly what the message it but last time I tried doing this, that is what happened and a message similar to that appeared. It is best just to force them to allow you to be party leader and then matchmaking will be faster and you will get low ping games.

I havent been able to test this myself before but what Crossy describes is exactly what I would expect to happen

fuzzy clam
The message you'll get is - "one or more of your party members lost connection to host we followed him back to the lobby " at least that's what we get.
peacamaker
What happens when we have 3 members that use a netduma but one can't connect to game on advance warfare but rest of party gets in game should that one disable his features or is there something all 3 can put on same way on router settings so everyone connects? Zennon
I would try having one of you as the party leader with the duma enabled and the rest to disable it while you are playing together.
