belly120
Ok so i'm a uk sky fibre user with a netduma connected in as per the setup on here. everything has been running pretty great until Christmas when my mrs got her ps4. I added her in to the netduma network and we are now getting moderate NAT's in games and it's definitely a bit laggy. i've had my ps4 for a while but what i'm confused about is how we could have 2 xbox 360's running on the same network, sometimes 3 with no issues but 2 ps4's is to much to ask? at the moment they are just using UPnP, no port forwarding. we also get party chat issues where it kicks people if me or my partner host a party. any help would be appreciated as we managed with several 360's playing COD via same netduma setup so i'm confused as to why a 2nd ps4 has caused this problem? Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted January 2, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted January 2, 2016 Hey Phil, welcome to the forum Have you got the GeoFilter disabled when going in chats with people and also when loading the game?
belly120
Hey Phil, welcome to the forum Have you got the GeoFilter disabled when going in chats with people and also when loading the game? no, that aspect i'd left alone. so if we are both dropping into a party and then playing bo3 together i'm best to disable geo filter until we're in game? i still find it odd that it was never an issue for us on the 360? belly120
I'm most bothered about the moderate NAT issue we're seeing. i get ports and the limitations that the system has but if i can get both 360's to have open nat whilst playing cod at same time why can't the ps4's manage it? To prevent being kicked it would be best to have only the party leader hosting with the Geo-filter. Have strict off as well. Are the consoles open or is it just the game thats moderate? its the games that report the moderate, only one ps4 does and yes its in the game where it states it on the second machine that logs in. the first always states its open. i have been checking my setup. all consoles now have dedicated ip's assigned by netduma from dhcp reservation page. upnp is now disabled on my sky hub and the upnp forwarding has been deactivated on my r1. the r1 is in the dmz on the sky hub. cloud and bleeding cloud are active. both ps4's are on wired connections and both have type 2 on their network tests from network settings. both xbox 360's on the same setup have been open in game before which is why i'm concerned. no port forwarding is active on either router other than what upnp is doing on the r1.
