JoshuaLighty522 Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 So I just got my netduma yesterday , so I take the Ethernet cord out of my Verizon router and plug it into my netduma, then I plugged the red Ethernet cord That came with my netduma into the netduma and the Verizon router. But the wifi still isn't working when I already enabled it.. The green light by the wifi logo on the netduma isn't as bright as the lights on port 1 and port 2.. Can someone help me pls
Zennon Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Hi, settings / wifi / to set it up, also go to misc settings and untick the wifi workaround.
JoshuaLighty522 Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 When I go to setting I don't see anything that says wifi work around. You think their is a reason for that ?

Zennon Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 I have just thought use the 2.4ghz option not 5ghz as that is just a place holder and it will not work on 5
JoshuaLighty522 Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 Ok I have it on 2.4ghz and still don't see wifi work around.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted December 26, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted December 26, 2015 Ok I have it on 2.4ghz and still don't see wifi work around. What version are you on? Make sure you are on latest - 1.03.5m.
JoshuaLighty522 Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 Yeah I'm on the latest firmware, but two people told me I should manually upgrade it but my computer won't load anything but the netduma setup site up.

So if you're on the latest firmware you are on 1.03.5m? You can confirm this by checking the version num at bottom of everypage. If you are not on that version you need to manually upgrade. See this: http://forum.netduma.com/topic/9124-major-router-upgrade-now-available-v-1035/
JoshuaLighty522 Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 I seen that but I can't download the upgrade because my computer won't load anything up. I'm on my phone right now.

I'm on my phone right now. Only newer versions have the option to disable Wifi Workaround. Is the problem that your laptop won't connect to the internet?
JoshuaLighty522 Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 Yeah my computer won't connect to the Internet anymore, it was working fine before I got the netduma.
Administrators Netduma Iain Posted December 26, 2015 Administrators Posted December 26, 2015 Hi Josh, Ignore the wifi light, it doesn't turn on the Netduma. Firstly lets get you connected to the router. On your PC you need to change the Wifi to "Netduma R1". Do you see that as one of the options? If so select it and use the password as explained on the guide that came with the Netduma. After you're connected to the Wifi network answer the following questions please: Can you access http://192.168.88.1 Can you access http://www.google.com From there we can assist further
JoshuaLighty522 Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 I can access 192.186.88.1 but I can't access google
Zennon Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Have you rebooted your Netduma from the Misc settings reboot button? Have you turned off both routers then turned on your Verizon leave it to fully boot up around 30 to 1min Then turned on the Netduma and tried the internet after waiting 30 - 1 min?
Administrators Netduma Iain Posted December 27, 2015 Administrators Posted December 27, 2015 Hi Josh, please try Zennons suggestion. Also please make sure port 1 of Netduma is plugged into port 2 of the Verizon. Then switch them both off. Turn on Verizon wait 30 seconds then turn on Netduma. Wait 2 mins then try again.
JoshuaLighty522 Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 So don't plug my netduma into the wan port of the version router
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted December 27, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted December 27, 2015 *verizon No, don't plug it in there. Plug it into a normal ethernet port which you usually get internet out of.
JoshuaLighty522 Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 So do I keep the Ethernet cord that was already in the wan cable on my Verizon router or do I plug it into my netduma?
JoshuaLighty522 Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 Do you have any social networks for I can show you a video or photo of how everything looks ?
