Hi Baz welcome to the forum :)

You should be able to use your sky router, or you can put it into modem mode, and connect your R1 to the modem and connect your Games Console/PC to the R1 via cable.

If you have a lot of wifi devices turn untick wifi work around in miscellaneous settings.

Input your correct internet speeds in the bandwith settings.

There is plenty of help and advice in the forum wiki pages, and if your not sure, just ask as there will always be someone who knows the answer.

The admin and developers on here are top notch, so you can't go wrong :)

Hi Baz, Macca is correct. However I'm not sure if you can put sky routers in modem mode. Iirc they use MER or something weird. I'd suggest just connecting wire from port 1 of Duma to skybox. Then put all other wired devices into the Duma and make sure they all connect to the Dumas wifi.

Then if you're feeling brave you can optimum further by accessing your sky router. To do so on the Duma click "Device Manager" on the left. You will see a blue box at the top with a button that can directly send you to the Sky routers homepage. Once there log in disable wifi on the sky router. Also if you can put the Netduma into the Sky's DMZ.

PS I'd highly suggest going to "Settings > Wifi" on the Netduma and giving it the same Wireless name and password as your sky so your devices don't need to be changed.

Happy Christmas!

Hi all, sorry for late reply. I just turned the wi-fi of at the sky box, and run everything from the r1. Played bops3, and still not sure if its better than the sky router for the terrible hit detection etc.

Thanks for all the replys chaps.

Have a nice xmas.

Don't forget you need to setup your congestion control & Geo-Filter correctly for the Netduma to operate correctly. Please follow these instructions: http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=fine_tune_netduma

Also I'd suggest you go to "Settings > Misc" then go to the cloud section tick "autocloud" and "bleeding edge" then click Apply :)

If you have any issues then please show us the ping on the Geo-Filter page. By clicking "auto-ping" above the map on the Geo-Filter. Then below the map during a game take a screenshot of the graph and post it here.

Sky Fibre - sr102 [black]

1.  Plug both routers into the mains > Ensure sky hub has the 'Broadband' telephone cable plugged into it and other end to the wall faceplate/splitter.

2.  Plug one end of Netduma supplied patch cable into the Sky hub ethernet port 1-4 [any port].

3.  Plug other end of patch cable into Netduma POE port [no.1].

4.  Log into Sky admin interface through your laptop or smart phone [type in 192.168.0.1 into internet browser address bar].

5.  Click on 'Advanced' > default username is 'admin' default password is 'sky'.

6.  Click on 'WAN Setup'.

7.  Ensure MTU is 1500 [sky authentication checks this when you connect, will still work if a different figure however].

9.  Check the box 'Default DMZ Server' and enter the Netduma R1 address, which should be 192.168.0.x > then click 'Apply' at bottom of page. If you are on R1 version 1.03.5 or above go to "Device Manager" at the top of the page you'll see "WAN IP", you can get the "x" from there.

10. Connect laptop/pc to Netduma R1 to make sure they are working and you get access to the internet.

11. Go back into the Sky admin interface and click on 'Wireless' > 'Wireless Settings'.  [Netduma allows you access direct through the R1 if you go to 'Device Manager' and click on 'view other router interface' ].

12. Scroll down to Wireless Access Point and uncheck box 'Enable Wireless Access Point' [disabling Sky wireless so that all users must use the Netduma R1
