  1. Thanks

If you forward ports 1-65535 for both UDP and TCP it should work. Essentially this is the same thing as putting it in DMZ.

I would not worry about it though as it's likely just the app going off because it sees something in DMZ like Fraser says.

O ok cause I find it a bit tedious to have like a bunch of devices hooked up into the modem & like every time I adjust the parameters I have to like rearrange everything & I don't have the patience for that haha so I just have my wifi accessible devices signed into my gateway & my XB1 & PS4 into the duma but yeah I think when this comes out it'll be a great addition for the modem honestly :)

Yes we're developing an app for iOS and Android. The app is in a functional state but it's not quite ready for release yet.

There is no way to tell currently and you're only able to ping one game at a time as well. There are no colour changes or icon changes to signify that it's from one device or the other. It has been requested and we had it in our previous firmware so almost certainly it'll be included in DumaOS in the future.

You can set it up like that if you want to but even setting up QoS how you want to still will not be as effective. As soon as one of those devices connected to the other router start using lots of bandwidth that'll cause issues for all other devices

I don't have the xr500 haha don't plan on getting it either really wish I exploited by idea b4 update cause I could've put my laptop that eats most of my connection cause of downloads and shit on my isp router & just had my xb1 & son's PS4 connected to the duma so I'ma just wait on the update to come out for this and hopefully I remember to do this ūüėä

Ahh I see, access from WAN. No that option isn't currently available but I'm sure we'll implement it in future.

Last month we introduced DumaOS Milestone 1.3. We are happy to announce that it is now available for all Netduma R1 users. Everyone who has signed up to the Open Beta of DumaOS will have received an email with the firmware link and installation instructions.
If you have not signed up to the Open Beta yet, please go here: https://netduma.com/r1-dumaos/
Nighthawk XR500/XR700 users: stay tuned for an announcement on when this will be available on your router.
    This milestone includes:
Ping Assist v2:¬†it's back and it‚Äôs better than ever.¬†Ping Assist lets low ping hosts to connect to you even if they are outside your Geo-Filter limit, helping you to quickly find high quality, low ping games.¬† Hybrid VPN:¬†apply your VPN to your entire network¬†and¬†also¬†choose the devices and applications you want to put through your VPN using DumaOS Deep Packet Inspection.ÔĽŅÔĽŅ Advanced Ping Stats: see the Server (Host) Tickrate and Receive Rate, as well as your own Client Tickrate and Send Rate. This allows you to see the quality of your game's connection in far more detail than ever before. Device Manager Enhancements:¬†shows every device on your Network and you can now view this as a sortable table, to give you easier administration. This is the first of many DumaOS milestones which we will continue to roll out to make your router even more powerful.
    Have fun.

having moderate nat on the in game test and open(type2) on ps4 still creates issues on ps4, the people who want to open their nats is not because its a luxury its a necessity to connect and party with friends. i experienced this issues as well, for me as i mention before on other posts, i use a netgear r8000 router and this router has a nat filtering option in the wan set up options and i can set it to open, therefore everything that connects will have open nat. other users have said that the netgear duma os router that the company is trying to push down our throats also has this option but i cannot confirm that as i dont own it. my recomendation is look thru your router settings maybe google or watch a video on your device options. or buy another router as i dont think many routers have this nifty option.

not necessarily, there are so many varying reasons for lag that can also be down to line quality and isp infrastructure. I use a 2nd router as an AP as it is easier to limit all devices in my home by slowing down 1 device (the AP router) than altering several. I am self employed as a foster carer so I also have a further router that is used to limit my kids access and scheduled internet shutdown without limiting mine and my wifes internet and wifi.

There's 37 pages here with no response. This is calculated at this point, they know if we all complain here only, it does no damage to thier reputation. It's an echo chamber that no other potential customers see and likely might not ever. They posted another Twitter Ad a few days ago an I made a "not on my R1" comment. Jack replied that we should use the forms for problems. He knows that people that see him reply to me and try and direct me to "the proper channels" makes me look like a whiny internet goon who skipped the right way of dealing with my problem. It's not about actually helping me. They are mitigating damages. Posting in here is a waste of time. Go to Twitter and FB, use all the hashtags they are using to promote the new OS. They will block and delete but the damage is done. I've been very civil, polite and patient for years. At this point I'm not even sure I care about the update. It's the principal.

I have received secret information about the release of the update. If my verry trusted netduma spion source is correct the update for netduma R1 will be on  January 5, 2053. But only if the technology for sending data over the internet to a router has been invented by then.

Hi Duma Army,   We need to announce that the free upgrade of our new software, DumaOS, for the Netduma R1 will need to be briefly delayed due to unexpected requirement from our Legal Team. Our lawyers have advised that DumaOS on the R1 must be backwards compatible.   In other words, if you install DumaOS onto the R1 you should always have the option to reinstall the older R1 firmware if you prefer to go back. We had not designed the DumaOS integration with the R1 to allow for this as DumaOS is superior. But based on legal advice we now must redo the integration to allow for this. It should take, at absolute most, a few more weeks. Nothing more as we have everything else working.   We realise you have been waiting patiently for this upgrade and this last-minute delay is frustrating. Our entire development team is working flat out to get this last bit fixed as soon as possible as we really want you all on DumaOS.   For what it's worth, we're as frustrated as you are as we can't wait to start making lots of new R-Apps (features) for you all.    We will get this last piece done as soon as possible and then it will be full steam ahead in delivering an explosion of new DumaOS features for you all.   Thank you for your continued support.   The ND Team
