You guys absolutely fkin KILLED it with 4.0.540. Not sure if something was also done on Spectrum's end, but my avg latency dropped from upper 20s and mid 30s to the high teens and it's a stutter-free as ever! 500d/20u plan.
I'm running an Edgerouter 4 from the modem, which handles the main QOS. As you can see, it's playing exceptionally well with my Smartboost priorities on the R3. I've been running this since it was an official update. My wifi is more stable than its ever been as well. No dropouts on wifi or ethernet either. I don't think I'm moving from this FW. Kudos, team.

Spazz got a reaction from x42osoldi3rx in Incorrect server glitch oooor?
So in BO6, I'm noticing that I'll go from Oklahoma, to Atlanta, to Chicago servers within the same game. I monitor my geofilter each game to check for ping spikes and such. 1 of 2 things ive noticed on the latest firmware. The other is that steady ping simply doesn't work for me. I never get a "stabilized" connection anymore.

Glad you got it sorted, thanks for the update!

I had it like that but the ER4 wouldn't give the WAN on the R3 an IP until I factory reset the R3. Now, I have the best of both worlds. Edge SQM and the R3 geofilter/steady ping

Spazz reacted to Netduma Fraser in Is there a way to disable QOS completely?
You mentioned you have the XR, perhaps you could use that ahead of the R3 for a week and see instead with that if you see the same issue

Always Ethernet. I'll follow up when I get off.

Have you tried the latest Early Access firmware? It should be largely resolved with that one.
To disable fully go into SmartBOOST - Menu - Settings > Toggle Enabled off

Spazz got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in Port Forwarding BO6 on PC
I took his console out of the DMZ and port forwarding still wasn't working. I factory reset last night. I'll PF again when I get off and report back this evening.

Spazz reacted to Netduma Fraser in Greatly varying bufferbloat results
You should be setting the speeds as what you receive/expect and then throttle by lowering the Congestion Control percentage. Bufferbloat occurs when your speeds are all being used, by utilizing Congestion Control it ensures this can never happen, therefore giving you better results

Spazz got a reaction from oldman66 in The amount of DESYNC is crazy!
IM the high end PC guy. 240fps avg on a 240hz monitor. There's def loads of desync. Shit servers, man. Not much we can do on our end once you've achieved an A+ bufferbloat rating, the rest is really on them.

Spazz reacted to Netduma Fraser in Speeds decline over time, requiring multiple daily restarts.
There will be a new update today I believe which will have some fixes for speeds, try that when available and let us know if that helps

Spazz reacted to Netduma Alex in How do i setup port forwarding for PC mw3
According to the internet, the ports are UDP & TCP 4000, 6112-6119

Spazz got a reaction from Dean.L in What's has a "fix" on the "NEW" firmware ?
Yeah I think I’m just going to end up getting another router and just putting my gaming platforms behind the R3 as opposed to my entire network being behind the R3.

Spazz got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in Who should I trust here?
Wow. Wild cuz the the next game was a GA IP and I was on 17ms lol.

Spazz reacted to Netduma Fraser in Who should I trust here?
I've seen this before, I believe it's showing 160 on the R3 as the IP for the server has some hops on the way to it timing out and therefore inflating the ping but it has been reported that when this happens it does play more like 160 than the low ping so best thing to do would be to add that server to your deny list so you don't play on it again.
