To answer your points, is the constant reboots to combat your ability to access/disconnects? If you provide the logs when you get a disconnect I can take a look at it, it may not be the issue others have mentioned. If your ping is quite stable i.e. it doesn't fluctuate much then you are then just raising your ping unnecessarily with Steady Ping on - I also think we need to do more to educate people on it as it is such a new feature. I think going forward we'll have that option disabled by default. A new firmware will be coming soon which should address the main pain points users have reported.

Probably 2025. Netduma still hasn’t released a firmware. It’s almost been 3 months and nothing. It appears that they only have 1 developer on the team lol

Psyco-Mengo got a reaction from bcoe30 in 8700 posts since release 3 months ago! Yes, almost 9 thousand posts!
A piece of advice I will give to anyone reading these posts.
Do not invest your money in this unfinished product!
I have purchased many routers before, but this is the first one I have to be actively involved in a forum about features that were advertised and have not been delivered.
Save your money if you don't have enough to spare. These complaints are real and I honestly feel that nothing can be done to address them.

@Netduma FraserI appreciate your help as always, but let’s be honest here. The R3 was released with core router features that simply don’t work. It was released too early. That coupled with the slow firmware releases and lack of transparency on what’s being addressed by the development team compounds this situation. I’ve been a long standing Netduma customer for a long time and firmware updates on DumaOS have been problematic for years, across the board. At this point, I’ve given up and swapped the R3. Simply too much tinkering that I need to do with port forward, IPv6 with congestion control, Steady Ping not working with Warzone etc. Basically, I need to turn off all of the core R3 features, so I’m better off using my Asus router.

Psyco-Mengo reacted to Rizzo777 in When is the NEW Firmware that FINALLY FIXES ALL these issues!?
It seriously needs to hurry up as I'm on the .23 because of wifi issues with the .41 and honestly its one of the worst gaming experiences iv had in a very very long time. I don't know how much longer I can take seriously.

Awaiting some ETA on a firmware with some actual bug fixes and improvements. Have tried to follow countless troubleshooting steps mentioned by Fraser and the forums with no luck (Thanks for the suggestions btw) and now growing frustrated and losing hope.

Psyco-Mengo got a reaction from Metalholic in NEW R3 FIRMWARE 4.0.41
The best way to go about settings is slapping a return label on the box. Nothing they do work. I’m starting to realize I was scammed. There are gaming VPNs out there that do a much better job.

Psyco-Mengo got a reaction from Nalsano_ in Launch firmware not optimized
The firmware that was supposed to fix most of the issues we are all having was promised to be released last week. We all have been patiently waiting for over a month now and nothing has happened. I made a purchase of something I can't even use. I had to go back to my provider router because of all of the issues I was experiencing.
You guys should be more transparent with your customers or maybe not release a product before it is fully tested.

Psyco-Mengo reacted to AFGHAN in R3 needs some serious update
Hi netduma team @Netduma Fraser
Since day one I've ordered the R3 I've been having ping spikes issues I tried almost everything but there's seems to be no luck I tried updating it to .23 yet still I'm having the ping problem
I'm been using xr1000 for almost 2 years I don't have any problem with that and currently still using it really a shame that waiting for the R3 so long and preording it only to be put aside due to software problems
I've been in contact with @Netduma Frasersince December complaining about the ping issue
Kind regards AFGHAN

Psyco-Mengo reacted to emma787 in East Coast USA, with Geo Filter, Connecting to London with false ping
I have tried all the methods and it doesn't work, it's frustrating because in cod if you don't have a good decent ping, you don't kill me. I did better on R2. What happened with R2, it heated up a lot and died and I noticed that R3 heats up too much.

Psyco-Mengo reacted to DARKNESS in Different settings recommendation for COD MW3
For Geo-Filter I recommend the following * Disable GeoLatency
* Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0)
* Enable Strict Mode
* Disable Fast Search
You don't need dmz unless it necessary for your own network if you nat type 2 with upnp you don't need to do anything else same with port forwarding as it port fowards the ports automatically no need to waste time finding ports. For Congestion Control that is something that is based on your own network you can't necessarily copy someone else's settings and expect to work as everyone has different networks and all react differently. The best thing to do is use bufferbloat---https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat or pingplotter---https://www.pingplotter.com/ and see how your network reacts the lower or higher the bandwidth you give under CC settings while saturating it by doing a speed test.
