Provide the log then please - the latter I believe is a browser or perhaps a resolution thing - try an incognito window or reduce the resolution and see if that works

Dean.L got a reaction from iiNSaNe93 in R3 Setup with Virgin Hub 5
the hub 5 dose have dmz mode you just have to have the hub 5 in router mode for the dmz

Dean.L got a reaction from Movement in In my case still lag internet speed and many other problems with my router
theres no problem with VM IN modem mode or router mode tho ive been testing with or with out the r3 seems to be an r3 related issue only happens when the r3 is connected

All looks good on waveform there, as long as you have Congestion Control active you won't get anywhere near a max ping like that.

Dean.L reacted to Spazz in What's has a "fix" on the "NEW" firmware ?
Yeah I think I’m just going to end up getting another router and just putting my gaming platforms behind the R3 as opposed to my entire network being behind the R3.

Dean.L reacted to Achilles in Random disconnects with R3?
Been using the R3 since launch and overall haven't had many issues. Setup was very quick and the DumaOS seems much more responsive than what I was using with the R2.
That being said, I've noticed a couple connection issues and wanted to get some insight.
1) My desktop is hardwired to a LAN port but every time I boot my computer there is no active network connection for maybe 10-15seconds, then it suddenly connects. It boots fast off the NVMe but even so, the R2 was ready and a connection was established prior to finalizing the boot. Is there any reason why this is so slow?
2) Experienced a number of random ad hoc disconnects. Sometimes it's everything, other times it's just the hardwired devices like my unmanaged switch but the Wifi is working fine. A restart of the router typically fixes this but when it's late at night it just becomes a hassle.

Okay interesting, so if you re fine tune Congestion Control again can you find the sweet spot again?

Dean.L reacted to Aimz in When is the NEW Firmware that FINALLY FIXES ALL these issues!?
I’m glad my r3 never got a crash like what everyone else complaining about. I only notice 2 bugs since I’ve been on the latest firmware.
1st bug is options keep getting reenabled after I disabled it. Steady ping and Speedtest bypass. They just keep re enabling their self
2nd bug is after a period of time of using the router the throughput degrades until a reboot. I think it has something to do with QOS

62.5% dwn\up made the diffrence then most its been nothing but a blessing

I no reset. I just did a reboot after update 4.0.41. And everything works fine. There should be a backup in this router to save the devices settings so you can reset and restore the router settings.

Dean.L reacted to Netduma Alex in NEW R3 FIRMWARE 4.0.41
Hi everyone,
We have a brand new R3 firmware for you. It includes many important fixes based on the feedback we received since the launch, including addressing issues with Steady Ping and Geo-Filter 2.0 to make them more reliable. The full change log is provided at the bottom of this thread.
Over the next few days, you will be able to upgrade automatically by clicking on the 'Update Available' option in your user interface (both mobile and desktop). However, if you prefer, you can manually upgrade your R3 now using a PC or laptop by following these steps:
Download the attached upgrade file. Reboot your R3 - this is a one-off as this new firmware contains improvements to make manual upgrading smoother in the future. Go to the Netduma R3 user interface on your PC/laptop. Navigate to >Settings >Troubleshooting and then click Upload Firmware. Choose the file and then upload it. You'll need to wait a few minutes for the upload to complete.. If you upgraded to version 4.0.40 last week, we recommend upgrading to this new 4.0.41 as soon as possible. The previous firmware had a niche packet reordering bug affecting login issues for games like Fortnite. It also made Geo-Filter 2.0 less reliable. These issues are now fixed in the latest release.
R3-4.0.41.sig
What's Next?
Good news: Hybrid VPN development is complete for the R3 and is now in testing. We've redesigned the frontend for Hybrid-VPN to make it easier and clearer compared to DumaOS 3. We're excited for you to try it out! In the next few days, we'll be moving it to closed beta testing, and if all goes well, we should have it with you very soon along with fixes to make Ping Optimiser run more reliably and improved IPv6 support.
Please continue to provide us with your feedback so we can keep making your R3 experience better and better.

Thank you for using the Netduma R3.
