Well as a long suffering XR500 owner im going to give the R3 a go. One thing I do have faith in is the dedication of the Netduma team (Fraser & co) in making regular improvements and supporting the community. Looking forward to the new features in December. Fraser a specific question if you can please. Will the new geofilter v2 help with steam games that use p2P e.g. destiny 2? At the moment it does get you connected to nearest server with some tweaking of polygon areas but still get matched with players from all over the place.

Ok, thanks @Netduma Liam. I think its the lack of updates from Netgear thats been frustrating. I would have thought they could be more transparent with their release cycle. The release of 3.2 for their hardware is a big deal for their patient customers (current and future). This is not a good advertisement for their products. Wish I had brought an R2 instead at this stage.

Are you able to confirm whether this release will be available before Christmas? If no, which I strongly suspect, please let us know so we can at least stop checking for updates. I agree with above, I appreciate it can be complicated but its taking far too long for updates. I just hope the wait is worth it.

@Netduma Liamthats good news. I look forward to trying out the 3.2 beta. More than happy to try it out with caveat that there may still be some tweaking required. Thanks guys for keeping us updated, we know where the delay has been.

You are correct I can select nearest server to me by setting filter around the UK/Northern Europe region. This selects nearest server in UK. Problem I have is when I do this and play crucible it needs to communicate with dedicated servers in the US otherwise it drops you out. I have tried turning off strict mode and also allowing some of the servers that pop up in the USA as dedicated but still get kicked usually just before the match starts, then I get banned for 30 mins for disconnecting. Am I doing something wrong here? I understand Destiny is a bit unique in that it uses P to P and dedicated servers for PVP gameplay.

Just seen post from earlier in the week. Would be nice to see more transparency on testing and release news from Netgear. Not good for Netdumas reputation. Beginning to wish I had brought an R2

Any idea when this firmware is going to drop for the XR500? No update since 12th October and testing is taking like forever.

I'm not sure the above is correct. Filtering is not supported for Destiny (PC). I thought this was the same for console. I tried filtering under console for Destiny PC version but kept getting booted as I was unable to connect to US dedicated servers after setting a filter area for western Europe (even with strict mode off). Maybe someone can clarify the position for filtering Destiny 2 for PC & Console?
