I did the exact same thing about 3 mths ago and I have not looked or messed with the flint 2 since... It just works once setup 👍 Like you I have owned the XR500 & R2 and was forever messing trying to get my bufferbloat under control or hit detection in COD was off or freezing etc etc, I was a constantly messing trying to get it consistent which I think is partly due to living in a busy house hold with 3 boys playing on there PC's and streaming etc but since moving over to Open-WRT everything just works including my Call of Duty games. The only thing that is lacking in the factory Open-WRT on the Flint is Geo-location but if you flash 23.05 or newer there is something called Geomate which I am yet to try, until I pluck up the courage to flash the Flint I'm using the R2 purely for the Geo-location. KinGzzy Cake is like QOS for Open-WRT supported routers if you are interested head over to forum.openwrt

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
jonnyg56 replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
How are you finding OpenWRT Lupin? I am very tempted to give it a go if its more stable, is there any chance you could link me to any info to flashing OpenWRT? Thanks -
NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
jonnyg56 replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Hopefully a fix will be implemented before the XR range is totally abandoned.... It's not something I would have immediately noticed and the only reason I did is whilst gaming online the game would freeze for 20 to 60 seconds and when checking the logs this line "[DumaOS] process '//usr/bin/dpiclass' died restart:true, " would be repeated every couple of seconds. I did mention it here but I probably didn't explain myself clear enough.... Thanks -

Traffic Prioritization is no longer working....
jonnyg56 replied to jonnyg56's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Thanks Taz, I will downgrade to the stable firmware. 👍 -
I have two PC's hardwired to the XR500 aswell as a Xbox series X and non of them are showing up as prioritizing traffic in QOS. I have tried just switching on the standard classified games and i have tried adding the device and creating a rule but nothing is been detected. The PC's mainly play Fornite, minecraft and Fifa and the xbox is Call of Duty. Im on the latest firmware (V2.3.2.134-dumaos33-rc14) and tried a factory reset aswell as redownloading the firmware but not having much luck.... I have had it working in the past and a little unsure when it stopped working, can anyone give some pointers as to where i might be going wrong? Thanks

My settings for Good Hit detection MW3 <R3 Router
jonnyg56 replied to Spritekid242's topic in Call of Duty Support
I think when you add 28 to your maximum MTU the 28 is reserved for header data which gives you your optimum MTU.- 194 replies

My settings for Good Hit detection MW3 <R3 Router
jonnyg56 replied to Spritekid242's topic in Call of Duty Support
I've just download and setup Beta DumaOS 4 for the R2 so was reading through this thread to try and optimize my settings. I thought you set your MTU 28 above your tested MTU which would make your MTU 1500? Thanks- 194 replies

I don't think SBMMOFF support console or provide .cfg files, It works off a program that is loaded onto a PC and is for PC players only.

Maybe it was just coincidence, they had major issues when the servers first came online and their was lots of people that were unable to get a match me included but that improved over 24hrs but I was still unable to connect... I was only successful after swapping my DNS but it may well have been something Xdefiant had done there end.

I had this issue and it was my DNS settings.... I was using 1.1.1.1 (cloudflare), I changed them back to my isp default DNS and all was good....

Hi Fraser thanks for the input 👍 I play on series X and have a webpage on the series X which I flick over to inbetween games so on the most part once the game starts I don't look what's going on in Geofilter. I will try and setup a laptop which will probably make life easier when it comes to allow and deny. Thanks
-
I understand how to use the geo filter to a level and think its great, it really has improved my Call of Duty experience but delving deeper I've still not worked out how to allow and deny correctly.... When I connect to a server all the info pops up and I have the option to give the server a name & allow or deny which is great but I don't know if the server I am going to be playing on is a good one or bad one until i've played that game by which time the option to allow or deny is no longer available. What tell tail signs make a good server to click allow or deny? Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated 👍

How to setup a 6to4 tunnel?
jonnyg56 replied to jonnyg56's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Managed to get it up and running Fraser Thanks... QOS needed to be disabled and once I rebooted the IPv6 address was visible over at https://test-ipv6.com. I was then able to enable QOS. -

How to setup a 6to4 tunnel?
jonnyg56 replied to jonnyg56's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Thanks Fraser, auto detect went through the process of detecting but series x still only comes up with IPv4. -
Just wondering how to setup a 6to4 tunnel.... I've had a look through the knowledge base and i couldn't find anything..... I've entered my virgin modem ip as the static ip address and entered some google public dns servers and hit apply and now have two identical address under Routers Ipv6 address On LAN but nothing seems to have changed. I've gone into my xbox network settings but Ipv6 is not showing up. Could anyone link me to a guide? Thanks
