Are the 2.4 and 5GHz lights illuminated/flashing on the R2? Are you using the original power adapter and is it connected to the wall outlet or to a power extender/strip?
-
Yes, over time you'll notice the benefits with more frequent updates, leading to better categorisation and prioritisation of games like CoD. The R2 is generally much newer hardware so you should notice general improvements across the board!

keep losing connect with lan xr1000
Netduma Liam replied to pig's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Are you able to connect any other devices via LAN and see if they suffer the same problem? Can you go to the DumaOS interface, go to Setting -> Setup -> LAN Setup and reserve an IP address for your PC. See if the problem continues after that. You can find the WAN IP for the XR1000 in System Information. You'll then need to go the VM hubs interface, login and find the DMZ/Firewall settings, put the WAN IP here. If you can't find that, can you let us know the exact model of the VM so we can look it up and try find a guide to help you? -
Blocked device not showing up on netduma
Netduma Liam replied to xskrapz's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Yeah, that should look the same as the DumaOS interface. You can either use routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1. They're the same. -

keep losing connect with lan xr1000
Netduma Liam replied to pig's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Are you able to get to the DumaOS interface from a LAN device when this issue occurs? To do this, open up a web browser and go to 192.168.1.1 in the browser bar. What device(s) do you have connected over LAN that are having this problem? Is it multiple devices or just one? If you're running the Virgin router in router mode, do you also have the XR1000's WAN IP in the Virgin router's DMZ? -
Welcome to the forum! How are you connected to the R2? Via wired or wireless? What device are you trying to access the interface from? Have you setup the R2 according to the setup manual included in the box?

Xbox connects to R2 via Wi-Fi but not LAN. Help appreciated :)
Netduma Liam replied to Benege's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Thanks for posting a new topic for this! I'm not too familiar with the process on an Xbox, but you may need to go to your Network Settings on the Xbox and set it up again through there. I know you need to do this on PlayStation. Try that and let us know if it's working for you! -
There's some unreliability with the two services provided in the basic setup, HMA and PureVPN. We'd always suggest, at least for the time being, using the advanced configuration to setup your VPN. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to guarantee that HMA would be any easier for you than your current VPN provider.

We believe there may be an issue with the R2s throughput when it comes to PPPoE. Hence why Fraser suggested using the XR500 to handle this. You can then disable any and all DumaOS features on the XR500 and configure all of this on the R2 if that's what you'd rather use. Just be sure to put the R2s WAN IP in the DMZ of the XR500, you can find this setting in Settings -> Setup -> WAN Setup -> Default DMZ server. Test your throughputs then through the R2 and it should all be good.

XR1000 - QoS/Traffic Prior not working
Netduma Liam replied to blkmage's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
If you've already got QoS disabled then that's all you need to do. As far as I'm aware there aren't any WMM configurations in the NETGEAR settings. -
We can certainly understand why it's so frustrating for you, we do appreciate your patience throughout troubleshooting this with us. If you do decide to give Fraser's latest suggestion ago please let us know how you get on. If you also ever consider an upgrade to some newer hardware from us, please send a link to this thread over to us via email at [email protected] before ordering and we can try to help you out there also.

Missing JSON response
Netduma Liam replied to David824's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Interesting, OK could you please try leaving the QoS page open, for example, and see if you still get the same issue? -
Since the reset, can you access the DumaOS interface if you use an incognito/private window in your browser?

Im new here just wondering which router to get

Are you seeing anything in the VPN logs when you try to use OpenVPN? If so can you provide these? -
Im new here just wondering which router to get
Netduma Liam replied to Exia's topic in Community Discussion
We're aware of some issues with WireGuard at the moment so I suspect that's what you're struggling with here. Are you able to download OpenVPN files from Proton instead of WireGuard files and use these for your VPN instead? -
I'm afraid not, I asked about it this morning, there's is one bug which is now fixed, but I believe there's still a separate issue. We'll get an early access/beta firmware built when we've got more information on the issue and hopefully we can give it to some people such as yourself and you can test it. I don't have any kind of an ETA for such a fix as we're not sure whether we're going to be able to do that yet, but in an ideal world that's how we'll proceed.

XR1000 Slow Speed On Restart
Netduma Liam replied to GJambo's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
OK, looks like we need to update your speeds in QoS. From the three-line menu in Congestion Control, click 'Set Bandwidth Speeds' and set them to what you'd expect to get from your ISP. After that, set Congestion Control to Auto-enable and re-test your speeds. -
XR1000 Slow Speed On Restart
Netduma Liam replied to GJambo's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Can you send over a screenshot of how QoS is currently setup? Perhaps there's some optimisation we can make there. Is the XR1000 connected next to the ISP router, and the Xbox connected to that? Or do you have a different configuration you can describe? In general, connecting a router to a router shouldn't be a problem. You may have issues with NAT, but that can usually be resolved pretty easily.
