BSilverthorn reacted to Netduma Fraser in XR500 Firmware version 2.3.2.56 released.
I would expect there to be another firmware release before DumaOS 3.0 but I couldn't say with 100% certainty, I'd be surprised if there wasn't.

No problem, just curious. Been fine here since I moved everything to a smart switch and then to the XR500.

Honestly there should not be any Netgear support here. It should be all over on the Netgear forum so Netgear also can see what is going on. One should not have to cross post on both forums though. And Netduma does have a support section here which is very misleading.. sharpz will be better off with ASUS out of the box.. No switches needed for there routers to make it work.
Zippy.

Thanks for all you do Alex, so far so good here. I just took everything out the router and placed into a 18 port smart-switch, switch then to router. Every thing seems to be working great.
Only 1 lockup in 7 months now, not bad. Never got that from other WRT Major vendor I had.
Running the latest firmware as well. The one thing that made difference, was doing a factory rest after the firmware update. 15 minutes later, Overwatch is perfect, discord good. I use QOS but not buffer bloat though. So far havent need it. Along with my MTU set to 1472, that seem to help on ping times a bunch with comcast. We had a small 3 users Sea Of Thieves lan party here last week and was perfect.
I am sure stuff needs fixed, but I have better luck with this router then other 500 dollar one I tried.

Settings Setup Wan Setup 1472 seems to work best here with comcast.

Wish I could make this a pure DumaOS. It has become a real pain since I bought it. A lot of cash for the trouble so far.

Nope The XR500 and XR700 run on Netgear firmware and DumaOS like a sandwich, Netgear provide the base firmware that controls the router, Open GPL and OpenSSL packages as well as the Qualcomm drivers etc. DumaOS is an overlay as such on top of Netgears firmware. They work in tandem, which is why it takes so long for updates, as Netgear have to make sure it all runs with their firmware too. A bit of a unholy union. The beta of the XR500 was in fact a R7800 with DumaOS as a download, they later released the XR500 with the same hardware but just added 128MB more flash and a new casing. That's also why the settings are Netgear settings. in the menu, its not a pure DumaOS device like the R1.

Glad to hear that. It'll be one particular panel that's pinned, try to figure out which one it is and see if the page itself loads. If it's just after a reboot or reset then that can happen if it was accessed too quickly.
