The reason behind 'Shoot First Die First' (Data inside)
Chaiyoabc replied to Chaiyoabc's topic in Call of Duty Support
thanks for input. I have been using this method for weeks, still no problem. but who knows it might happen like your case. Anyway I won't expect much from this. Just keep testing -
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XjlB4026XlExVHldj8OQC-F5WRnAjT6d3lX9j0VS2MU/edit#gid=0 Turned out your setting could have already been well-optimized All the setting you have done. Adjust bandwidth percentage > Still shoot first die first Adjust MTU > Still shoot first die first Do deep Traffic Prioritization > Still shoot first die first and many more that we have been doing for years. Me and my friends decide to do the research. and we have finally come up with interesting insights. And after we did this, I got nuke and my KD went from 2.7 to 2.92 in 5 Days!! My setting is pretty much standard, just same as most of you guys, but the magic is as following: SOME SERVERS ARE NOT GOOD FOR YOU !! Me and my friends are tracking good servers based on ip address. and block those IPs that don't perform well So we started to track every IP adresses we have been playing using Mikrotik router We give score based on KD. And we know that player skills are various, so we don't give score and decide right away if this IP is good until we come across to play this ip again. We test it for 3 times and mostly scores are close. This indicates that this IP is actually performing well. Then we average score latest 3 matches that we play on 1 single ip Red highlights are the poor performing servers. And we block these IP using Mikrotik router to make sure we don't matchmake to these servers again. Side note: This could affect SBMM too because lower server selection = low effect of SBMM My best recommendations for those who can sniff the ip. I suggest you guys to build your own list of data If you are in europe, start from Spain servers. I heard they are the best. avoid France and london servers. My info: My ISP: AIS Fibre Speed: 1000/1000 Setup: Mikrotik RB4011 combo with Netduma Server Location: Singapore VPN: Yes VPN Location: South Africa I hope this helps !

My dynamic ndm setting to counter shoot-first-die-first in mw2
Chaiyoabc replied to Chaiyoabc's topic in Call of Duty Support
Does this help? Or 70/70 feels better? -
Hi, First of all, sorry for my English. I have been battling back and forth for the past weeks to find the way to counter shoot-first-die-first things. I know SBMM has been a part of problem heavily which makes it really harder in this scenario. Let’s hear my background info first because this method could or could not work for you because it is all based on: - your ISP internet type and speed - your location - your opponent ping So below is my info - My ISP is AIS Fibre with package of 1000/1000 - my router is netduma r2 but for some reasons, when I did the speedtest manually, it only resulted 500/400. I think my r2 cant handle such speed - my connection method is pppoe. I try to minimize the router to make sure data packets are sent as quick as possible. so there are only my ISP router that has been put on bridge and my r2, along with Asus TUF gaming router set as Access Point for the rest of device - my ping is always 35-50, connecting to Singapore servers from Bangkok, Thailand. - I have been playing with crossplay turned on forcefully. Because I am on xbox and turning off crossplay would result sitting in empty lobby cause I cant find anyone. Pc players here are tryhards and sweaty. Bunch of pro players live here. So I have been experiencing with god-aim, flicking sweats while I am using my xbox controller with so called strong aim assist. - I am pretty decent player. My KD in previous cods are 3+. I am not bragging but just info to let you know that my sbmm is very strong. Vanguard KD is 3.76, MW 2019 kd is 3.23. I am 34 years old and yes my reaction gets worse every years - Side note: I love to test things and have been trying to find a router that can actually be good at any game. No bs shoot first die first things, I have 5+ routers (Asus ax5400 tuf gaming, Asus RTac88u, mikrotik latest model, netduma r2 and tplink ax1000). Gotta tell you that there is no such things for that. Each router is good for some particular engine games. Some are not. But as for mw2, r2 and asus seems to work best based on what I am looking for. Ok! Now we back in the topic of how I setup my r2 its pretty straightforward. And work best for me. Hopefully it will help some of you too - my input bandwidth is set accordingly to Fast speed test result 500/400 (I know it was below my package of 1000/1000 which I assume my r2 cannot handle this speed, no offense ndm team. I tried with Mikrotik router and speed went 900+) - QoS setting: 100/100 percent of bandwidth slider (Congestion Control). Set to Always option default bandwidth allocation (application) Standard traffic prioritization. You can use ‘duma classified games’ default option or you can manually put ports in. Just need to make sure that there is red light working when you play the game. Dmz Off Upnp On ipv6 Off That is pretty much it. Sounds sooooo boring and its the thing that many of you already have and still experience shoot-first-die-first right? Hear me out! The following part will be dynamic and this will torture/choke your connection! - Always Run youtube’s any 4K video in background. You will have to saturate the qos. Making it work better for its purpose of Qos - in a match, you will always start off with 100/100 percent bandwidth slider UNTIL there is a particular guy(s) who keep shoot you first and you die instantly. And you are sure that that guy has lag compensation on their side *this is moment where you choke your connection to counter that guy* *4k vid still running in background* what you do now to counter above scenario is to drop the percentage of your bandwidth slider from 100/100 to 1/1 percent!! This is a part where you choke your connection. Notice that your 4k vid will start to be stuttering/buffering. You will notice that your gameplay wouldnt be affected because all traffic prioritizes on your mw2. And you would have slight little more time to counter that particular guy who won you at first match. Let me remind you again to only choke your connection when there is above scenario The reason to do this is the fact that that kind of guys are probably players with high ping or playing with unstable wifi or 4g 5g for me I end up doing that for about 30-40% of a time. If there is no mainland Chinese guy with vpn, I would play with 100/100 until a match end. I wouldnt recommend this method to low speed package users If you have 100/30 bandwidth. I would recommend to run video with only 2k resolution or maybe 1080p If you play with high speed 500+. You can try this method. and that’s it here is some of gameplay I have. Sorry for Thai commentary but it was meant for my fellow audience

Oh just realized it is india. mine work best in South Africa. I live in Thailand connecting to Singapore servers. And I am telling you SG is a sweat fest.
-
I would like to know the location as well
-
I have been wondering. How do you get good ping when you put your vpn to somewhere far like isaral, south africa when you are in US.

Hybrid VPN (NoLag, NordVPN) to get easy lobbies... Really works?
Chaiyoabc replied to Krdnt's topic in Call of Duty Support
Not working for me tho. My kd is around 3.8 in Vanguard and 3.21 in MW the tips i can provide to reduce sbmm is to lock yourself in only one specific server by that you will be matchmaked with limited group of people. And games/sbmm are forced to find whatever lobbies with enough players for you in my case I live in Bangkok my closest server is in Singapore. So I forced my game to only find sg servers within that area. Otherwise it would matchmake me to sydney servers or Japanese servers with skillful people. and tips not to get shoot first die first. - get high bandwidth isp. For me its 1000/1000 - try to be alone in the network. I always put 5g on my phone instead of wifi to make my network as smooth as possible - if family members have to use wifi, limit their bandwidth. For instance I have another asus wifi router which everyone in my house connected to. And i use asus’s traditional qos to limit their bandwidth by device. I gave 30mbps to each. - for qos setting. I slow down a lil bit because some games’ netcode are too instant. I throttled down download bw to 70 and upload to 99. This will give mili sec time for old people like me to react. You can always turn off and have good experience if you are fast and young enough. for me i get avg 2.5kd doing that. But with qos on i get avg kd of 3+ -

Ok, will do. Will let you know -
Hi Netduma Team, My package will be change to speed of 1000/1000 in next month I am wondering if R2 can handle that speed fully based on its hardware specs? Thank you guys
-
Turning off qos on netduma is baaad but in asus on the other hand, is very positive effect
-
Get that as well. It might have sth to do with that when you setup everything. Router pick up your setting and targeted packets and what not. You have great moments. And once you shut down your console, router forgot all that. When you are back on your console other days, router seems not to pick up anything anymore. May be you try to re-setup everything whenever before first game of a day. i have given up qos months ago. Realize that my 1000/500 bandwidth is enough for everyone. So i have been playing on asus ax5400 with qos off. Only dmz/port forward with fixed ip and ipv6 support. I often switch between full cone nat and symmetric nat type whenever one doesn’t work atm

Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Chaiyoabc replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
Hi Netduma Team, I would like to submit another mislocated server report. And yes, I have already put them in Google Form. Hope you guys fix it ASAP because geo filter is kinda unreliable right now. I had reported mislocated server before. back then, it was mislocated in somewhere in West US, later on, it had been in Australia. Currently, it has been mislocated in Japan and her comes the problem. Normally I would try to avoid Japanese servers since its ping is too high and unplayable for me. now if SG server is mislocated in JP then what's the point of having Geo-filter as they are in same location. Also just want you to know that Singapore server is currently shown as peer, not dedicated server (white square icon). when MW boots up, it doesn't appear in GEO map Please see the attached for some references from my router EDIT: Here is the server detail Server ID: f88bf2bd2897afb4 Server Name: 139-180-151-189.choopa.net Ping: 27 Above image: This is when it normally connect to SG server. It is mislocated in Japan Above image: I believe this is supposed to be matchmaking servers. I assume It should have been somewhere in Ireland but whatever -

If you put geo filter in upper west of US, you will be connecting to sg server just fine -

Singapore server is mislocated. Normally when I booted up a game, it will appear all the server location in the world map. Turned out singapore server is missing. and always put me in somewhere in US. -
As my Asus QoS is far more superior than Netduma's it has better algorithms and better consistency in Black Ops 4, I would like to use Qos function provided by Asus RT-AC88u. But I also want to keep such unique Geo-Filter feature from Netduma with Anti-Bufferbloat turned off. Is there anyway to do this ? does dmz method help? Thank you
