Hi I have another question now, I'm trying to setup a hybrid vpn, but even though it says connected its not working.
I have a xr500 v2.3.2.134
Vpn is PIA and I'm wanting to connect to one of the UK servers, London, Manchester.
I went to advanced and put in my username and password and found configurations on the PIA page.
What specifically isn't working, when you enter the VPN details it says failed instead of connected or it's connected but when adding your device it isn't replying?
If the former please provide the config you're using and if the latter please provide a screenshot of how you added the device.

Sounds like you've set it up with your connection perfectly. As you have set the DMZ on the HG to the R2 this directs ALL traffic to the R2 so you do not need to do anything else on the HG such as port forwarding, you can use the R2 for everything.

There are no servers in the location that you are trying to force, as it is a server based game you cannot force P2P connections, you will need to adjust your settings to cover known servers that you can find using Ping Heatmap. It says in this article it uses servers for example: https://www.gamebyte.com/efootball-2022-important-things-to-know/

Okay that's fine but we can't help you install a different operating system and just because it's based on it doesn't mean normal OpenWRT would install successfully.

I am on R2 3.3.280
When I set the wireguard configuration and say only VPN these services: COD series, it wont effect the game.. am I missing something here?
Did you have Battle.net open in the Windows system tray when you applied the VPN? If so that could be why, exit the game and the launcher completely including from the System Tray, then enable it then launch.

Hello @Netduma Fraser I would appreciate some assistance.
I have enabled the geo filter for multiple devices. I included my brother's PC, for Call of Duty. Is it possible that it could be causing issues with matchmaking in OTHER multiplayer games? Like not being able to join certain servers? Or does the Call of Duty geo filter profile only affect COD?
Thanks!
Yes that could be a possibility, best to disable if you're going to play another game

It's the first post of this topic you're posting in.

You should be on the latest firmware is that right? What errors are you getting when you can't change those Geo-Filter settings? Are you using Armor? Make sure you're accessing the interface using HTTP, your browser may be forcing HTTPS which could be causing 3 of those issues.
Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, close the interface tab, wait 4 minutes before accessing and see if the Rapp not loading stops.

Could you provide a screenshot of a completed Connection Benchmark test and your QoS page please?

Hi Fraser, when we expected new Netduma R3 ?
We don't announce or give any ETAs on firmware/any hardware until they're ready

Ok great thank you guys for the information. Would the r2 be a good investment for this since it’s speeds are only 1gbp as they sent me an offer for 2gbp for $70 a month. How many users can be on the r2 before it slows down ? If I get the r2 should I get a couple ap to take some of the things off the r2 ?
I don't know how many devices you have but I've never seen anyone encounter any issues from having too many devices. We've had 50+ devices running fine on it but as you know you wouldn't be able to use half your new speeds through the R2.

Hey, stop being arrogant and repair my router because I haven't asked for anything in 4 years and you're acting illiterate because you don't know and you're the administrator of this forum.
I am illiterate in Spanish, I only speak English, if it's arrogant to ask to translate your Spanish videos/issues into English so I can understand and help you then I don't know what to tell you. I am happy to help once I understand the problem.

If your internet is 5G then yes it will have some inherent stability but aside from that this is what QoS was designed for. It's best to start with a high value for Congestion Control (set to Always), say 95% then do a test, decrease by 10%, test, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values.

I haven't tried r2 but does congestion control speed of DL/UL also automatically adjust?
No it doesn't auto adjust, you have to manually change it

Hi @Fraser regarding smart qos meaning it is no longer need for congestion control right? And this will be a brand new qos method compare to the last one?
Congestion Control is still needed, it's more for automatically prioritizing and allocating bandwidth according to what the activities/devices you want to take precedence.

Ok I upgraded. Now i have a different screen. It keeps reloading every few seconds but doesn't finish and wifi still does not work.
You'll need to factory reset as it's a big change, hold the reset button for 30 seconds, release, wait 4 minutes then access.
-
No that won't work, they need to be separate so make sure to switch the LAN IP back, the static IP however could work once you've changed the LAN IP back, you'll probably need a reboot though.
-
Reboot the TP link, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the R2 from the interface, wait 2 minutes then access and see if you get internet

Hello, I've got exactly this issue with my XR700. (DUMAOS not loaded using routerlogin.net, no WIFI) I tried factory reset, older Firmware and it still didn't work. Ethernet connection works fine.
Try upgrading from routerlogin.net/adv_index.htm to the latest firmware: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51612-new-xr700-beta-firmware-33363/

Thanks for the speedy reply. That list you provided is helpful. The domain I saw blocked and tried to whitelist was
a1.api.bbc.co.uk
It didn't seem to help on its own. I also tried disabling the Tracker blacklist entirely but keeping Ads blacklist enabled and that didn't seem to help either. I didn't see any other blocks show up on the TV. I will try some of the other domains you suggested but perhaps your blacklist is a bit too aggressive as it stands if that's what's causing the issue. What would be really nice is if I can disable Adblocker for a specific device - that way my TV could work without blocking but my laptop or phone which I haven't noticed any streaming issues on could still block the ads.
Cheers
You can actually disable it for a specific device, on the page where you see your devices listed, click the pause (I I) button next to the device and then you can click the disable button.

Hi,
I've successfully upgraded my XR500 to this firmware version following all the steps. I've performed factory reset. I have an issue. My Sony TV (running Android) streaming has been really poor since I upgraded - it buffers BBC iPlayer - sometimes it doesn't even load the app or gets stuck signing in and displays an error. Same with other streaming apps like Netflix on the TV. Netflix would load and I could browse the library but it wouldn't stream. I tried many different features on and off - it's network is wired and connected directly to the XR500. I also tried Wifi and the same result. I found the problem is Adblocker. I disable Adblocker - reload iPlayer and it can stream UHD content I can see 20Mbps download in the network monitor - you can see video quality is great and no buffering. Turn Adblocker back on again and network monitor shows it starts to drop down to 1-2Mbps and starts dropping the video quality and buffering again. Disable Adblocker and it's back to normal again after reloading the app. It's not QoS. I tried that on and off. It's definitely Adblocker. I noticed a couple of Tracker domains blocked which I whitelisted - but it doesn't seem to help. It just seems to reduce the available bandwidth when it's streaming video. Hope it helps some people and you're able to look into a fix because I really did like Adblocker when I was browsing web sites - it definitely helped reduce the ads on some of the sites.
Cheers.
This is the list of domains the router uses to block: https://netduma.com/adblocker-lists/default-list.txt you can use Ctrl + F on the keyboard then enter Netflix or BBC to find the domains so you can then add them to the whitelist, that way it should work and you can keep it enabled. Otherwise it should show what is blocked at the time so you can then whitelist them from there - may take a few tries.

It's the WAN IP you would need to put in the DMZ on the TP, in this case that's 192.168.1.127 then it'll work, see if it's working better after that
