Is there a way that you can see the pings of the players in a lobby before the game starts and we can set a max player ping per lobby, so if it at a range of say a max of 60ms and a player was connected at 75ms to that lobby it would kick us back so we can search again.
High ping players are the bain of cod it throws the sync right out of the window, this feature would be a god send to me.

Netgear has developed an updated 1.0.1.8 firmware that corrects the wan drops.  The updated firmware is being beta tested and the results are very positive.  Now for the bad news. I am not sure when this firmware will be released. That is going to be up to Netgear.  With this issue affecting so many people I would guess it will be coming real soon.

Hopefully Netgear will be able to quickly see the problem now that we know the SFP+ port works fine.

Yes, when SFP+ port works as Internet port (WAN port), the original Internet port will work as "LAN" port.

The 10Gtek 1000Base-T SFP works like a charm for $20 on the XR700. For the first time in a long time, no packet loss or WAN drops tonight, very happy, cheap and easy fix. 👍
Forgive the size of the pic, I have an ultrawide monitor.
Does the old WAN port act as a LAN port if SFP is used? At least thats what it looks like.

Yes, the wan disconnects is a known issue and Netgear is looking into it. For now there are workarounds the disconnections by using the SFP+ port for the internet connection or downgrading the firmware to 1.0.0.20. The XR700 does have a built in fan but shouldn't overheat if its not under load. My suggestion would be to modify the fan settings. I like to have my XR700 running cool so I turn the fan speeds to max. You can modify the fan speeds here if you want. http://routerlogin.net/debug.htm
Take a look on this topic for more info and updates on the wan disconnects. http://forum.netduma.com/topic/27726-new-xr700-firmware-version-v1018/?page=2

So far so good with the sfp to Ethernet adaptor. No wan disconnects

Disabling IPV6 didn't help me either. I've always had that disabled.
Going back to .20 was the only solution for me, because I never tried to use the SFP+ port.

I agree with waiting for the final AX release. I'm tired of dealing with companies releasing hardware that meet only half of a certain spec like they're starting to do with HDMI 2.1. There are manufacturers that are making tvs with EARC, but not HDMI 2.1 that includes high frame rate, 48gb bandwidth, VRR (variable refresh rate), and 8k.
Give me all of HDMI 2.1 or nothing from it.
I purchased a 4k hdr projector in 2016 thinking it would meet all of HDMI 2.0b, but it didn't. It wasn't capable of 18gb bandwidth. The fine print was so small that I didn't see that mentioned in the specs besides a little * next to the resolution of [email protected] I just saw [email protected] and thought excellent.
    Silly me.

I think I've found a temporary fix to the WAN disconnection by using the 10G LAN SFP+ port for the Internet connection. It's been stable for 2 hours and everything looks good so far. No interruptions while playing games or browsing the web. I looked everywhere online to see if someone has tried this but I didn't find anything. This could be a solution until NETGEAR comes out with an update to fix it. I will keep everyone updated if it stays stable or not.

It’s a R9000 with DumaOS added.  Netgears code has been out since 2016 for the R9000, how long can it take.

In the month that I had the XR700, the internal fan never ran.
You can also open http://routerlogin.net/debug.htm and adjust when the fan will turn on.

On Xbox, Console deleted from Geo-Filter, DumaOS on R1, Open NAT shown in Game,
This is what I get when searching for any game in Multiplayer:
Thu Nov 29 21:36:27 2018 daemon.warn odhcpd[740]: Failed to send to ff02::1%br-lan (Operation not permitted)
    Thu Nov 29 21:36:16 2018 kern.info kernel: [ 442.136000] send: nf_ct_get failed
    Thu Nov 29 21:36:16 2018 kern.info kernel: [ 442.136000] recv: nf_ct_get failed

Then the game boots me back to the main screen saying Lobby was full.

Thanks for all the info guys. We think a lot of this may be driven by matchmaking changes from Treyarch e.g. adding new servers etc. But we're looking into everything we can do with our GEO IP database (the 'Cloud') to optimise filtering.
We'll let you know more when we can - but rest assured looking into this is our number #1 priority right now.

BO4 on Xbox takes forever to connect to a Peer host and has a bunch of graphical errors on-screen. I can't connect to a Dedi at all.
    Geo-filter is disabled.

BO3 on PS4 works perfectly fine.
    So I say it's a BO4 issue. Not DumaOS.

Yeah, DumaOS is much easier to run than the original firmware, so you can get pretty good speeds.

That's the R1 with DumaOS, running behind my Verizon G1100 router, with QoS disabled.

Sorry to hear that, it's probably to fix the disconnect issues as well as the Geo-Filter error message. We'll try to keep you posted on it's status so you can consider purchasing again in future.

They know about the return window. They also know my current xr700 is a replacement for the first one which had the same issues.
Working 12hr shifts for 10 days in a row isn't helping our communication. Which is why the return window is closing before they can get a clear picture of what's happening.

Netgear finally sent me a request to sign up for a Beta they have for the XR700.
They say it fixes some of my issues. Not sure what 'issues' they think they've fixed.
Unfortunately, My 30 day return is up tomorrow and I can not allow myself to Beta test a $500 router, so I'm returning the router without trying their beta.

I've asked them to clarify what the beta supposedly fixes, but if you guys could get in touch with Netgear and post something about what they think the problem was and how they fixed it, I would purchase the XR700 in the future.

I am in agreement with a bunch of users who think Netduma should release their DumaOS on another Mikrotik product or even design your own router.
Hopefully one that incorporates all the specs and hardware of a 2018/19 router would/should.
