  1. Is it worth contacting my ISP over just while im on with ironing out creases?
  2. A couple hours later this appears to be about the best i can get it with congestion control always on, funny enough this is right back to the 70% for both up & down. The grouping of the network performance graph lines are much tighter and seemingly more under control - i can only put any other issues down to Dice servers Thanks for the advice gents
  3. Thanks Fraser, it was only while penning this i thought to run the benchmark so il start some testing today at the higher end like you suggest. So im looking to improve my ping under load to the best rating i can basically? The modem is one of those bog standard openreach modems from about 10 years ago. Yes we all connect to the R2 - im wired and the others are wifi.
  4. Im having issues playing Battlefield 1 since i started gaming again last month. I think its partly a Dice server issue but its seemingly being compounded by the wifi devices in the house tugging at the network too. Iv spent about 4 nights chopping and changing settings and i cant fix it its driving me nuts - have i got everything covered off on my netduma? Wired PC + 2 wifi devices (not mine) QOS ON - 70% slider as suggested, Congestion control = Always, 35% bandwidth allocation to PC (issue still present whether i share upload/download excess or not) Duma OS classified games on. No other geo filters/traffic rules setup. Ping to BF1 German servers is about 25-28ms So to provide some context here is a breakdown of the network performance graph: https://youtu.be/XkU26yuBI2Q Im getting the in game network performance graph popping up intermittently with the latency performance indicator explained at about 3:30 in the video, but no latency values indicated on the graph The values that appear to complain are "extrapolation offset" which drives no performance indicator (so i think that a dice thing) and "downstream" which is my connection - when video content is being consumed on one wifi devices i see network use of about 10- 20mb (of 70mb) and the graph flashes constantly - hit reg disappears, cant hit anyone etc It happens less often when i go via nordvpn to the netherlands servers and i generally gain a few ms on ping but im also not going through QOS at that point. Iv slid the sliders right down to 10/20% and all the way to 80/90%. Iv turned wifi off it still happens but with busy wifi it gets much worse. It happens at all times of day, full or empty servers. I have no other problems So yeah nothing currently making any sense and no problems reported on bt wholesale speedtest or diagnostic - However iv just ran a couple of connection benchmarks which states A+ for ping & speed, but only B/C for ping under load - is this my gremlin? Anything iv missed? Any settings to change?
  5. Got a reply from Nord CS - not what i wanted really might have a play around but i can live with the app
  6. That will be it, their wireguard protocol is nordlynx i wonder if they will provide a config for manual setup cheers Fraser!
  7. Bit the bullet on nordvpn this morning, for a quick start i used their app to connect and testing the speeds i was highly surprised at only a few mb less speed than normal - still 60+ out of 69-70mb download To cover off my computer & phone without needing the app every time Iv since setup hybrid VPN as per the nord guide https://support.nordvpn.com/Connectivity/Router/1047410932/Netduma-setup-with-NordVPN.htm But on manual setup im getting 10-15mb down and 12-14mb up I used the app to check which ovpn profile to download from https://nordvpn.com/ovpn/ iv tried both tcp & udp profiles and a couple of different server numbers (local) but get the same much slower result Am i missing something on the manual setup that is drastically reducing speed?
  8. Hi Liam I disabled adblocker and had a go viewing the same content i was trying earlier, however i don't know if there was a problem elsewhere that is now resolved. Adblocker also came back on during this time and i had no issues.
  9. Yeah nah its still happening while whitelisted too
  10. I seem to have run into an intermittent issue with playback of some content on vimeo via a third party site. I can be a few minutes into playback and the content will stop playing & buffering which seems to coincide with blockage of tracking requests to player-telemetry.vimeo.com I think it could be an issue with the content but i thought id run it by you guys? This has not happened in the past until this week iv whitelisted both vimeo domain and player-telemetry.vimeo.com and will monitor also ran this past the content supplier to check for issues at their end
  11. No problems since previous mention. Have updated to latest firmware and done a factory reset today. I have mirrored the previous settings i had for DNS. Web UI feels a bit snappier!
  12. Not keen on that idea im afraid Liam, however im happy to keep providing any logs required. Its not really a consistent problem however it appears to be when I'm on work calls via zoom - this can be 2-3 hrs per day. The activity is zoom meetings, using web interfaces into ticketing systems and ssh into servers - all this goes via a Globalprotect VPN which i believe is a split VPN. Other than that I'm just browsing from other devices at home. Yesterday went smooth even on the afternoon call i noticed no drop. I didn't power cycle my equipment today but on the morning zoom call i lost DNS at 08:27 so the uptime would be just over 1 day- logs attached Is there any info you want me to request from the work IT guy regarding the VPN that may help in troubleshooting? log-1653033040188.txt
  13. Lost DNS again tonight at 21:20. When i tried to get into the gui to reboot i got "page took too long to respond" so had to power cycle. No logs on this one. The R2 didnt feel too hot or anything but seems it might have become unresponsive. May or may not be related. Everything came straight back
