Pre-emptive algorithm

Playing ww2 on xbox one but lose connection to servers after game when using the pre-emptive algorithm even with sliders at 100% only way the game seems to work is with the reactive algorithm but then the game plays so badly that there is no point using the R1 is there anyway around this and does anybody else have this problem

Seems a bit weird. What exactly could the R1 be doing on preemptive to cause that? It makes me wonder what else may be happening in terms of connecting to other people/servers or the transfer of packets O_o

The developers are aware of the issue with the preemptive algorithm and COD WWII. 

 

Are we?  :wacko: is there a post somewhere?

 

I wouldn't think this has anything at all to do with the algorithms. Do you see anything blocked on the Geo-Filter when this happens?

Sorry I thought Simjc had reported an issue to you guys concerning pre-emptive and WWII.  And getting booted from the game with that algorithm.

I wouldn't think this has anything at all to do with the algorithms. Do you see anything blocked on the Geo-Filter when this happens?

It seems to be an issue where when you use pre emptive you get disconnected from the server after the game,it doesnt happen at all on reactive,may be worth trying yourself to see if it happens on your end too but it was happening to me too,tried all game modes checked geo filter the lot but could never finish a game on pre emp without losing connection to server

Not a help to the OP but been playing WW2 last three nights, always on preemptive and never been kicked once.

 

Geo reduced to cover UK only. Don't turn on GEO until searching for an actual game.

 

Game mechanics look like they first talk to a Belgium / Netherlands server first so let that happen first before turning on Geo.

 

Also after game ends connection moves to a local host for matchmaking moving back to dedi for the next game. Do you have Geo really small or throttling hard, maybe? Can you see other players within your GEO?

 

Not sure why you see it on preemptive only but short answer is that it isn't affecting every R1
