Bhins
I realise that pinging game servers is different to pinging servers specifically for speed/ping tests etc. but recently I've noticed that base pings are higher on my Xbox One than my PC. Both are plugged into my R1, which is on my TP-Link's DMZ, which is plugged into my modem. I did 10 tests on the same server location on Bandwidth Place on both my PC and my Xbox One using Microsoft Edge. PC Pings: http://imgur.com/a/JSODP Xbox One Pings: http://imgur.com/a/YmzC9 I was going to test my Xbox 360 as well but for some reason it doesn't want to complete the test after I pick a sever, although I have done tests on my Xbox 360 before and I can confirm it is close to if not the same as my PC. I've also tested on DSLReports on my PC and Xbox One as well, and the results were pretty much the same. Does anyone else have a similar problem? Any fixes I can do on my end? For what it's worth I'm on Virgin Media broadband.
iAmMoDBoX
What is your congestion control set to when you are testing? And what algorithm are you using?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 5, 2016 CC is at 100% with default distribution. Using reactive. Sorry for the late response. Try with 70/70 sliders and see if that improves it.
Bhins
Sorry for the late response. Try with 70/70 sliders and see if that improves it. 70/90 works best for me regarding bufferbloat etc. but doesn't lower the pings. Not the worst thing in the world, I just found it a little strange. Zennon
The ping server for the xbox ones test is in the US so if you are from europe you will see over 100ms to the server.
PharmDawgg
I think it pings Microsoft's headquarters.

I'm aware of that, hence why I didn't use the built in test.
