Reconnected
When plugging numbers into the bandwidth fields, why do we enter the bandwidth we pay for and not the actual bandwidth measured from DSL Reports, ect. Isn't the bandwidth we pay for a hypothetical?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted December 16, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted December 16, 2015 You should enter the bandwidth you get, not the bandwidth you pay for

Reconnected
You should enter the bandwidth you get, not the bandwidth you pay for Thought I read in one of the wiki's about using "pay for" numbers. Didn't think that made much sense. Thanks guys!

I think the reason it is put down as the speed you pay for on there is to make sure you're not putting less in (which could potentially cap your speeds)
Reconnected
I think the reason it is put down as the speed you pay for on there is to make sure you're not putting less in (which could potentially cap your speeds) It's misleading. The speed I'm paying for is 200/20 and of course the actual is lower than that. Not knowing any better, I took "what you're paying for" literarily and entered those numbers n the bandwidth fields. I'm probably not the only one who's done that either.

Ok, I've edited so it says to change the values afterwards to reflect the actual speeds you get.
