nytemare01
If I put the Duma in the dmz of my asus router will I need to disable upnp on the Duma?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 16, 2015 Administrators Share Posted December 16, 2015 No you'd keep UPnP enabled on the duma and disable any UPnP/port forwarding rules on your asus

PUBzZz
I see your going R1>Asus>Modem. Your better off going Asus>R1>Modem. Doing your current way you're losing out on key features of the R1.
nytemare01
For some reason this setup seems to work better for me. One more thing with my current setup would it be ok to give the Duma a static ip in the wan settings or what if i gave the Duma a static ip through the asus? Would either of these changes have a negative impact
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 21, 2015 Administrators Share Posted December 21, 2015 If it works I would just leave it as is

I have UPNP enabled on my Netgear router should I disable it since it is already enabled on the R1? If it is enabled does it cause conflict with the R1? My set up is: Modem > R1 > Netgear r6300v2 router in AP mode
