Im not sure

I don't mean to moan as Im sure the guys at Netduma do a great job, I don't know if it is the new update on the BO3 XBox1. But it seems to me that something aint right.

I have tried all different settings and double checked that I have all the correct boxes changed and ticked.

But I either wait a week for a game and when i get in it is like I have a new kangaroo specialist as the lag is so bad, or it plays half decent and after a couple of minutes it migrates the host over and over. then it tells me i have disconnected from the host.

But if I un-tick strict mode I can get a game that isn't terrible but isnt what I thought it would be. It just seems that the Duma isn't working like I thought, it tells me my ping is 35 but I can empty a clip of a LMG into someone and still get done by one shot.

Sorry for the rant but its soo annoying as I spend more time fiddling with the settings in the Duma, checking the forum for any tips and waiting for a game than actually playing it..

Is anyone else getting these problems or am i just a lucky one?

It's the XB1 servers. They are absolute trash from my experience.

The main reason is XB1 is relying more on P2P to pick up the slack of not many XB1 purchases. Sony outsold them 2:1, and now we can see with a major MP AAA title this isn't just marketing hyperbole. Even if you get on a dedicated server, it's still pretty horrid, from my experience.

The new update *should* help if you follow all the instructions on the update page, but not even the mighty Netduma can solve bad hardware, congested lines, etc. which I think may be the biggest problem with these dedicated servers, let alone the host migrations when some kid is getting rekt and decides to quit the match.

On top of all this, Activision's "wonderful" MM allows people from other countries to play on domestic servers, so this is also going to screw players over who should be having much better quality games.

Thanks, I have followed all the steps following the update, I was playing with the radius trying to force connection to different servers. my sliders have been 70/70 even upto 95/95. I have virgin router and have the duma connected to that to allow only gaming to go through the duma along with devices which i can connect to the duma. I have also done a diagnosis test and everything is Good although last night it showed the spikes as excellent

There are so many variables to why pings spike to try and pinpoint just one is futile.

However, there are a few main ones that can contribute to spikes... The first one being congestion. The second one can be general atmospheric electromagnetic interference along the route to and from the server. The third one is something none of us have statistical proof in, but it *could* be the netcode algorithm that adds latency a.k..a ping spikes... To "even out" your ping with higher ping players? It's very easy to manipulate latency on a server with simple commands and if the netcode has conditions that say "raise latency on W, X, Y, clients to equal high ping client Z", this may be what is happening, but again, I must stress we have no quantifiable, or repeatable evidence this is happening.

thats the craziest looking ping ive ever seen, i know a pro halo 5 player that had some problems after he bought a "nighthawk" router (also really good router too). he finally fixed it by using

the isp router the company used, he was saying, "the players would jump around on the maps making it unplayable", so it was incompatibility with his router that caused it.  you should see if

that is the problem.
