willthetech
I have 2 xbox one (my son and mine) and 1 PS4. also have 3 PC's, 3 smartphones, and a tablet or 2. My set up is as follows: Motorola SB6141 -> Net DUma: -> 2 Xboxs, 3 PCs and PS4 -> D-link router - > all other devices in my list above. Net duma can see all devices connected to it, but of course due to segmentation/Different IP it cannot see devices behind the D-Link. My question is very simple, should I set my router as an access point and let Duma see all devices, then go thru the process of setting up congestion controls for all of these or keep as it is, and just assigned specific bandwidth to the router, and let them fight for the bandwidth behind the router. just need to know if there is really any pros or cons in any of the choices... PharmDawgg
My recommendation would be to be to have Motorola SB6141 -> NetDuma -> D-link(AP mode) -> Xboxs, 3 PCs and PS4 and all other devices in my list above. The R1's Congestion Control and Prioritisation functions are the the best that I have seen on a router and anytiime you can have your setup to where the R1 can detect all of the network devices then the R1 will be able to operate at it's fullest capabilities. lukasz
I Can only Second what Bucky sad if you setup you second router as AP all of that magic related behind bandwidth distribution will be done for you automatically by simply playing with the sliders and all of the devices will be included.
