Like the Dallas or Atlanta one? Ping Heatmap just shows you what servers the game has, it's not a guarantee that every server you see is connectable. If they're close to you then I should think you would be able to connect to them yes. MikeArroyo_87 1
FurtherStill Posted November 24 Posted November 24 There are multiple issues I am seeing with connections to BF6 1. Oklahoma always showing as the server (this appears to have been fixed) 2. Dallas and Atlanta servers not connectible (Not sure if this is a duma issue or EA issue) 3. Servers allowed to connect outside of the selected region with strict mode enabled and ping assist off. (I always connect to a server in VA or CA). As the server starts to connect it shows up as a yellow triangle like its being blocked but then it allows it. My PC is also setup as a console MikeArroyo_87 1

My PC is also setup as a console Good to hear, though we're not convinced it is at the moment so we're working on a cloud at the moment Impossible to say really BUT it leads into #3 as you're not forcing currently You'll need to disable Geo-Latency then you won't get any games outside your radius (except maybe Oklahoma unless its fixed for you)
FurtherStill Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Ok I disabled geo-latency and kept my Texas filter. Battlefield is unable to connect to anything, I see all the other servers trying to connect but it ultimately fails. Its looking like the dallas and atlanta servers are not active. But now I have a question. What is the purpose of strict mode if having geo-latency bypasses it? MikeArroyo_87 1

Are you able to filter other servers than those two? Really there is no current purpose for strict mode, it was implemented a long time ago to combat an issue with Destiny matchmaking, basically for every other game it should be enabled and was moved so people don't really change it but we've kept the option in case anyone does still need it. Geo-Latency tries to filter by ping instead and this can in some cases lead to games outside your radius being connected to.
oRaGaMi Posted Thursday at 01:38 PM Posted Thursday at 01:38 PM Was the cloud ever updated? Should I plug back in the netduma? Its been what, 4 weeks? Lol

Lol It seems to be working for me, all my games have been in London and not placed over the water in the USA Very smooth games apart from when the EA servers have a wobble! oRaGaMi 1

RalfKin Posted yesterday at 01:03 PM Posted yesterday at 01:03 PM Saw this old thread and couldn’t resist adding that I’m also curious if anyone has managed to get better results with Battlefield 6 lately. Has the GeoFilter started picking up more servers after recent updates, or are folks still relying on manual settings? Would be great to hear what’s working for others.

It wouldn't pick up more servers necessarily but it should improve overall

It has improved by 100% on Netduma's side, and I'm finding games in London and Germany. (UK-based). But there are so many issues with BF6 right now with hitreg and servers. Netduma Fraser 1
