I recently had my internet upgraded to 1 gb down and 40 up by my ISP (soon to be 1000 down and 1000 up in a few days) and have been having issues with speeds. When directly connected to my modem I confirmed I'm getting the proper does. Even when I run the speed test in the duma OS software I'm getting the proper speeds. But as soon as I wire into the R3 I see 300 to 500 mbps. So it sounds like the R3 is the bottlebeck here.

My setup is my cm3000 modem, into my R3, into my XR1000 as an AP. And I'm using cat6 cables for everything. I also confirmed all the Ethernet ports I use for the test are also 1gb. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Where are you testing the speeds for the device? Try not using the 2.5Gbps port on the modem and use one of the other ports to connect the R3 to it

I test with speedtest.net. The only wan port I have on the modern is 2.5 Gbps but regardless of which port on the R3 I'm only pulling 3 to 5 hundred mbps

It's on the most recent version. I confirmed with my ISP as it gets updates directly from them.

Does your ISP use PPPoE?

You will need to disable smartboost to reach 1gb speed if that's the case.

Edit: Hmmm nevermind.... even with smartboost on, you should at least reach 800mbps with PPPoE

They're all LAN ports, the WAN is actually the cable internet port above the power. So try one of the other 1Gbps LAN ports on your modem connected to only the WAN/Internet port on the R3 and then check wired to one of the R3 LAN ports to speedtest.net and see what you get please. Make sure you've also set the speeds manually on the R3 to what you expect/pay for first.
