CRarsenxL
I’ve got xr500, R3 and R2 right. i have a dedicated fiber line for fios. qos disabled on all 3 of the dumas. Port scan off of course. Nothing special right. my experience with them? ALL inconsistent. plugged in the VZ router once and immediately the game felt better, bullets regged, EVERYTHING FELT BETTER. The only thing I can think of that’s possibly makes sense is that VZ has packet tagging? DSCP values with Duma are off since QoS was off. (Keep in mind I only have the console on a 1gig line, that’s why qos was off in the first place) Anyone have any suggestions at all? At that point it has to be some backbone VZ stuff we don’t know about…
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 14 Administrators Share Posted November 14 Continue playing the game using that router for a few days through until Monday and see if you get the same experience the whole time. What is your general physical setup?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 14 Administrators Share Posted November 14 It is a QoS feature so yes that would be the case for the prioritization SmartBOOST applies anyway. If it's an Xbox you're playing on QoS wouldn't need to be on to pass on those tags.

I’m just assuming the VZ router has some sort of QoS on by default to identify game traffic. where as Duma won’t unless we enable it. can you confirm there is a way to inject DSCP without using QoS on netduma?
