That's great thanks for confirming, that will be an authentication server that requires whitelisting, once we've done that (now you've done that) you should be able to filter selecting the servers you want.

After checking the only thing that I needed to change was the simple vs. custom radius, everything else was set as directed. Do you know why the radius setup would need to be different in BO6 rather than in MWIII? The reason I had custom radius was to keep the authentication server that I kept hitting (was listed as being in Oklahoma) included so I could get into games while blocking the Texas and Miami servers which picked up people with significant lag issues.

I'll test in a bit and share results, but I'm skeptical about the smaller radius that I have selected. Do we know which US locations have authentication servers for BO6?

So in full game I wouldn't need to select that server?

Appreciate the ongoing support, Fraser. You do a great job here with all the variables (both tech and people) that you have to deal with 🙂

Seems to work as it did with the custom radius, but it works. Connecting exclusively in Savannah but not Atlanta. During the search Atlanta servers light up, just always lands in Savannah. Could be that some servers are mislocated from Atlanta, or heck, maybe they picked up hosting in Savannah *shrug*.

One last question: Do you know why - or more importantly how I can fix the issue - when I log in to the Duma (R3) from my iPad, every time I get into a lobby or out of a lobby or it seems when there is a server hand-off of some sort (speculation, but seems to track) I am prompted to log back in to the router? Its kind of driving me bananas because I have to put my controller down and re-login if I want to track server performance during a game.  When I get sporadic lag spikes and I look over to the iPad I wind up seeing the login screen and not the network data. Of course by the time I log in the spike is gone and I have no information to work with. Its a frustrating QoL issue, but it also takes away some of the usability.  Thanks again for your help.

Once we've whitelisted the server you wouldn't need to have the Ireland server in your own allow list or covered at all.

Thanks! I've not seen that happen before but are you using the Safari browser to access the interface when that happens? If so, download the DumaOS app, does that resolve it?

Of course doing the easy/normal/sensible thing of using the App makes everything work wonderfully. Much appreciated, Fraser, thanks again for your help.

Haha no worries at all, glad it's working. If you're interested the browser will have a time out and requires you to re-authenticate, on the app we don't require that.

Further update: Expanded my geofilter to include Washington (DC) and then started playing on Washington's server every time, I still always get matchmaking from Tokyo. I experimented by closing Washington DC out of the geofilter and I suddenly started connecting in Savannah, GA exclusively for the entirety of the night (at least 4 hours). Seeing the servers in the pic on occasion, and very rarely I'll see other servers like Atlanta, Miami, and Illinois as I would expect from prior titles.  Something is very weird with the servers in BO6 compared to previous titles.

Same bro. Every game I’m connecting to Washington server and I’m in Mississippi.

Hey am I the only person that is only connecting to Washington server? I’m in Mississippi and it’s not even in my geofilter but every game it’s Washington.

Beta has different servers, different locations.

No it's just the Geo-Filter, it will still work as normal, your router doesn't become obsolete.

Thanks but I was specifically referring to the Geo-Filter. The other features are nice but are also fairly common on most other decent routers. It's the Geo-Filter that made me want to go with Netduma. If the Geo-Filter doesn't work for new game releases just because I didn't buy the latest model then my router is obsolete as far as I'm concerned. Are there plans to update the R2 to work with BO6?

They don't become obsolete regardless of the platform, it might require a cloud update but that's the same on the new ones. DumaOS 4 beta for R2 is also in full swing, so the R2 is still being actively developed for. If necessary a cloud update will be made, we're testing it currently.

Glad to hear it, thanks! I just couldn't help but notice that the folks that have it working seem to be on R3's. Mine doesn't even show any servers on the map at all.

this has nothing to do with the R3 these are the servers that treyarch has open for us.( for the beta) i normally play on new york,Washington ,jersey and philadelphia servers with warzone, mw2 and mw3 ,but for the beta im currently just playing on washington and cininnati. dont tweak nothing, dont change nothing, just play on simple geo-filter and increased the filter size. let the game do its thing.

I'm having a similar issue to what one guy said earlier, where the game will only put me in the Tokyo server. I'm in the US east coast. I tried the usual steps on the R2 to reset it,

  1. Quit the application/game/client completely
  2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
  3. Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager
  4. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
  5. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option
  6. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
  7. Wait 2 minutes
  8. Boot up application/game/client

But for some reason my matchmaking starts at 170ish ping and it always puts me on the Tokyo server, even though I have the New Jersey server simple geo-fenced. When I switch over to MW3, and even MW2 everything is normal and it works as intended putting me on the NJ server every time. With ping assist on it seems to half work, it will connect me to US servers again but ones that are above my 30 ping assist settings. Interested to see if testing reveals anything.

If you follow the process above you should see servers. Other than that the only difference would be a different cloud version, in which case when we do the next update that'll be sorted.

It'll be because the server is whitelisted if you can provide the ID we can remove it and that will prevent it.

Pretty much *all* servers in BO6 appear as 'googleusercontent.com' for me and are marked as peer.

Same, Im using the xbox gamepass on PC, and I dont see the actual server names anymore. Usually its the IP followed by CHOOPA or VULTR, but I am not seeing anything like that

You can remove the servers in Ireland from the whitelist because I can't play on the Polish server.

That's not really how it works, the server in Ireland is required for online play, if it was blocked you wouldn't be able to play at all. I've rarely seen anyone play on that server, I don't think it's used very often.

Best to set the PC to console when using gamepass for the moment. You won't always see the server names but we try to do so where possible.

I only had the Polish server selected, and it still searched for 40ms of ping and only searched for servers in Ireland. Each time I was connected to a server that had a square icon with a full circle, i.e. a legitimate server, and it was impossible to block it. Today I'll send screenshots of what it looks like when the open beta starts.

That icon indicates a whitelisted server which would be the Irish server required for online play, there would be another icon showing that would be the game server but yes please do.
