Movement
The game lags terribly, the ping jumps in the game from time to time to 100ms, change location it doesn't work, doesn't log me in to the router menu, an error pops up CPU3 now showing 9% before was flat I remember CPU3 4% R3_2024-06-21T16_33_31.481Z_logs.txt R3_2024-06-21T13_10_17.891Z_logs.txt R3_2024-06-21T10_28_48.988Z_logs.txt IMG_6696.mov Lag.mp4
TrayDay
It's a known issue that I believe the devs are constantly trying to fix. When you're on the HOME dashboard of the R3, it eats up a little more CPU, compared to when you check your CPU usage when you're on the GEO-Filter screen. So, as long as you don't have the HOME dumaos webpage open while you're gaming, you should be fine. Rebooting the R3, will mostly help with your not being able to access the interface and the slight stutter from your video. Also, if possible, use CHROME and use it incognito mode / private tab, and access the DUMAOS interface. Those WARNING, is just the Steady Ping, pinging the servers and doing what Steady Ping does. TrayDay
As a last resort. Give the R3 a factory reset, using a small pin and reset from the back. Sometimes, a factory reset after an update helps.

DARKNESS
@Movement Did you test whether this is an ISP issue? When you were lagging...also as long as the cpu is not hitting 100% there really no point in pointing that out as culprit. Do you have a back up router to test? Because that could also be a server side issue which then isn't related to the R3.

DARKNESS
@MovementSo what your saying is that you don't back up router to the this correct? Just because an ISP said it okay that not always case my friend I can tell ya from experience and it'll painful ride if it is the case. As the equipment is just really a modem forced by ISP on Canadians/UK people I guess...

DARKNESS
@MovementI understand there just too many possibilities so all you can do is mitigate to find the source...I'd say when your lagging do a ping-plotter test to the server (Game Your Playing) and one to google so run two hops and see if your able to find anything that isn't normal is my recommendation. Tip use background Mode
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 23 Administrators Share Posted June 23 Sorry for the delay on your topic, I saw you posted in the other one, play direct to the modem for a few days and see if you notice the same gameplay experience
bbursley
Something to consider here. Everyone’s getting lag spikes in call of duty, even check Reddit. I get them too, and I have perfectly stable internet. The servers are just crap, not much we can do about it. For some reason we’re seeing random rubber banding and latency spikes out of the blue. This happened before and after Netduma @Movement , so I done think it’s the Netduma at all.

Have you been playing direct to the modem since I mentioned it to see if you have the same? The latest update has been out for almost a month now so it's unlikely to be that otherwise lots of people would be mentioning it

I thought about going back to 170, that firmware worked really well for me, but in the end I decided on 4.0.41. The CPU is not stressed as much at 41 as at 219, and the hit detection is still there. I have no comment.

Whenever you connect via a VPN you always run that risk, you're adding extra hops and therefore extra ping - we're doing work with how HVPN works with other features so it may improve

Asus had the same problems with VPN and servers as well but much less than with R3 that's for sure .
