Slamchez
Unfortunately that’s a setting we can’t change as he tends to fall asleep watching one of the streaming services. So we need that to shut the TV essentially. I also just double checked my Xbox and aside from being on an older system version my settings are near identical. I power down and prevent update checks but my sleep settings are I believe the default. Since I factory reset the R3 it has not appeared on the network until just now. Xverso
I don't know what the problem is with Netduma, but I am having random disconnects and can't connect to the router (infinite loading) every few days. I never had problems with my main router from Asus! I have plugged in the R3 so many times, but I will definitely sell this thing. I had problems with the old one and am still having problems with the R3. concept idea for gaming 8/10 but from the software/firmware side a 1/
Slamchez
Well… I can say on my end that it is not the Xbox. We just cut out and I’m about to reboot.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 13 Administrators Share Posted July 13 Thanks for confirming, were you downloading heavily at the time by any chance?
Slamchez
Nope. I was away from my desktop Mac, brother was playing Dead By Daylight, and mom was streaming on her iPad. Before I stepped away I was writing some code. No heavy activity at all as far as I know. I pulled the security camera base off the wire and rebooted. We’ll see how long that lasts. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 14 Administrators Share Posted July 14 As you're having it quite often I think it'd be a good idea to get some remote logging setup for the router. If your ISP modem/router has WiFi, set it up so that it is in bridge or modem mode, you can also use the DMZ. Copy the WAN IP from the R3 (found in Settings > WAN) and enter it into the DMZ function on the ISP modem/router. Disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN on the R3 and enable remote support in Settings > Troubleshooting. Then post back here from a device connected to the R3 when you've done that and we'll attempt to connect on Monday to enable it.
Slamchez
Unfortunately there is no modem with Verizon Fios. At this point I'm pulling one device at a time off the wired network as much as I can and letting them fallback to WiFi. The team did connect to the router a couple of weeks ago when it seemed to be at its worst and did get some information. I'm just trying to see if I can narrow it down to a particular device. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 14 Administrators Share Posted July 14 That's fine then you should have a direct line to the internet through the R3, if you disable IPv6 and enable remote support we can try. They might need some more info as it seems particularly tricky, they might not but would be good to get you in that position.
AsNCo
Hi. It seems that the new 4.0.236 early access update has made the random disconnects worst. I have to disconnect Wi-Fi on my phone and to my 5G data and immediately, Instagram and even Facebook comments will finally load as seen in the 3 screenshots that happened last week. Reconnecting back to Wi-Fi, the internet on the phone will still be working. And worst, just hours ago, I had a WhatsApp voice call. And it worked for 5 seconds before the voice was cutting out followed by seeing my phone say reconnecting. I disconnected the Wi-Fi again and the call reconnected immediately and loading back Wi-Fi again will still maintain the call. FACEBOOK PICTURES NOT LOADING FACEBOOK COMMENTS NOT LOADING INSTAGRAM BOOKMARKS NOT LOADING AND STUCK IN INFINITE LOADING

If both, if you connect that device to WiFi, pull ethernet, plug back in and disconnect WiFi do you keep connection?

There is an ethernet line that comes out of the ONT that was run by Verizon to where we have the router. That is plugged into the WAN port. Currently I have my Mac mini left directly plugged into one of the LAN ports on the router with the TP Link switch plugged into another. All the settings you mentioned have been like this for quite a while now. They were able to access it no problem. In fact they're welcome to access it whenever they want so they can gather any more information they may need.

As mentioned in a previous post on this thread, my setup is, Modem to (Wired) R3 to (Wired) Switches to (Wired) Asus AX11000 AP to (Wireless) 2nd AP. Basically, multiple phones have the WhatsApp Voice Call issue as well. To solve it, just have to turn off Wi-Fi on the phone and turn it on again to ensure a stable internet connection. Ok. The next time I encounter this, I'll try disconnecting the Ethernet from the R3 to the Asus AX11000 AP and reconnecting it again to see if Internet is restored that way. I need an IPv4 address to give them.
Slamchez
IPv6 is off. Could be something in Verizon’s end? Believe those replies yesterday were from my desktop Mac. This is from my phone.

Achilles
Well after a month or so of no issues...I had a disconnect. Guess Xbox wasn't the total issue after all. Are we any closer to finding a fix for this? 😕 Edit: Make that two disconnects. And usage isn't any different. Edit 2: Might be ISP actually, symptoms seem different. Monitoring it. Slamchez
They were in my router on the fourth and got some info. I believe they were in again this morning looking for more info and possibly to see if they observe it crashing. Given my current patterns I expect a crash around 3PM Eastern tomorrow lol. Thinking the disconnect was ISP related not router. Even with it back the speeds have been iffy and Wifi was also impacted. I know they had a brief outage the other day too so I'm inclined to disregard this one.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 16 Administrators Share Posted July 16 I believe Jack will be making a topic in Early Access regarding disconnects shortly - presumably to get any more relevant information so keep an eye out for that.
