New Firmware put R3 OS4 into Boot Loop

Recommended Posts

Please Help ever since i did the latest update i cant access router OS4 i can still use internet just not able to access anything else??

I got told to post on Forum.

I have factory Reset when i turn on and get beginning setup it says some things failed to load do retry or continue i have tried "Retry" but it always fails so i continue i apply settings up to getting the black screen Saying "Welcome to Duma OS4" but it doesn't go any further than this.

I have left in for ages and it will proceed to re go back through the whole hardware setup stages again

@the kappa convict
Ah i think i see the issue. Are you using VLAN 101? And are you using PPPoE or DHCP/ static WAN?

You should be able to get to the frontend by clicking on 'continue anyway'.

Unfortunatley There's a bug in thee newest firmware that we missed in testing / beta with applying vlans on WAN.

We'll be getting a new firmware out with the fix next week.

so what should i do because i cant get into the OS it doesn't go any further than the Welcome bit it just cycles back to setup beginning hence boot loop

How are you resetting the unit? You need to hold the pin down for ~10 seconds on the back and then leave the unit for 5 mins or so (Dont unplug). As @DARKNESShas mentioned above, there also could be a browser cache issue not allowing you to get access again, so either try clearing the cache through the F12 menu on your browser image.png Or try a different device like your phone.

Just a suggestion for the meantime. You could either connect your ISP's modem back in for a while and then connect the R3 underneath once getting through the setup.

i will try and do it through other router and see what happens i have internet as you can see otherwise i wouldnt be able to type i just cant access router settings etc

Try the following and I assure you that you will be able to enter the interface:

Do a factory reset so that the initial configurator starts from the beginning and again. Once you have restarted, enter 192.168.77.1 and this time do not touch anything in the configurator, simply skip all the steps from the beginning and until you reach the end of the configurator, again the sign will appear that something is not correct Loaded fine, just continue, do not retry, it is no use after pressing continue, this time the interface should load, then go to settings and wan and configure your Vlan to have internet. However, I warn you that there are probably options that do not work correctly for you.

Did you skip all the steps without touching anything at all? If you reload with F5 and wait for the sign to appear and press continue, do you not have access?

Which web browser are you using? - Does it have an Adblocker enabled, if so disable this and try again. Is it trying to force a HTTPS connection to the interface? It'll need to be HTTP.

Are you using a VPN or Anti-Virus on the PC itself?

I assure you that I went through this problem and with the method that I told you you could access the interface. In any case, you answered very quickly, which tells me that you did not follow my advice well, since if so, you would not have internet until you accessed the interface. If you follow the advice to the letter I assure you that you can enter.
