Is the new firmware not out yet?

Recommended Posts

Guys, c'mon. How much longer do we need to wait? It's been slightly over 3 months since the last update, and I still have a router that continually disconnects if my gaming session exceeds 30 minutes. I can't use the thing for the very reason I bought it for. I would have loved to return it ages ago, but I gave it a chance keeping good faith within the devs behind this router but man what a poor decision that was...

I would recommend the early access firmware like Fraser has given out.. Specially if your having any type of disconnects.. That firmware is stable and a good choice..

That would be my recommendation..

Thanks!

Zippy.

Early access is just a beta, right? I'm curious when you guys are planning an actual release to the public?

Essentially yes but it's quite stable. Once we've determined it to be stable enough it'll be released publicly

When do you think it will be stable enough to be released publicly?

We'll be putting out another build probably on Monday which will be a release candidate but it depends on how well that's received. I've also added you to try the firmware if you want

Updated to the beta firmware and now the in game latency shows over 100+ms while the browser one from within the router shows 40's. Don't know which to believe but the game feels more like the 100+ than the 40...

This proposed release build, will it still include the remote logging features of the early access build? I understand you guys need the data currently to troubleshoot random reboots and other things on the early access build, but will it be this way going forward or can we opt out of that?

Likely the ping on the router is the closest ping response it could get (pinging game servers times out usually so we do something clever but doesn't always work), I'd block it and get a different one

Unless a change is made last minute, yes it will still have remote logging enabled. For the moment for the big issues we'll keep it in, unlikely all future EA versions will have that. Public versions will never have remote logging enabled.
